Would stay at the Riviera again. The room was amazing. We were able to see the Fireworks from the Magic Kingdom and Epcot from our balcony. Had access to the Gondola’s which made getting around very easy. Wonderful experience!!
The resort was beautiful, smelled amazing, had tons of amenities and was just wonderful overall. The only bad was that housekeeping would come in our room and just give us towels. They never made our beds or provided us with new sheets. We were there for 6 days.
Room was spacious and clean. Food was excellent. Grounds/ pool were beautiful. My only negative was they didn’t make the bed. Staff came every other day to clean the room, which I knew up front and they did an excellent cleaning job - but no bed making.
Check in was not a good process, there was no one to assist us out front. No one offered to help with bags or to valet our vehicle. When we came in there was one person working the front who didn’t have the best check in, he said we are Expedia so he doesn’t have any of our information. They didn’t have what we were celebrating or congratulate us on our engagement celebration weekend. He looked at my fiancé & said now who is this staying with you. It was awkward. Also I was never told about a $25 per day cost to self park. I just suddenly found a $25 & a $50 charge on my cc & I then had to wait on hold for Disney guest services for almost an hour. Then I talked to a very rude billing department rep who said that it is on Disney’s website & that hotels.com should have advised us of this. I worked for a hotel, we always advised our guests if they were to be charged for ANYTHING! I was only told by Disney’s Riviera Resort front desk associate that they charge a $125 fee per day for incidentals, but reimburse us what we do not use. That is it.
Great resort . Having the Skyliner on resort is fantastic. Very easy check in process with app . Great for families .
One down side is the very limited dining options .
Our vacation was beyond a magical experience. The hotel was the best experience of our vacation. From the day we arrived to the day that we left. The hotel was clean, staff was professional and friendly, the room was clean and spacious, the grounds were perfect and clean, and the convenience of having restaurants on property was awesome. Having our magic bands as a room key was also very convenient. Beds were comfortable. Bathroom was spacious and beautiful. Everything was perfect! I can't WAIT to go back!
Best hotel on Disney property. The one bedroom Villa was big and comfortable enough for 5 adults. Everything was perfect. I couldn’t have asked for anything else except to stay longer.
Almost everything about the Riviera resort was amazing. From our view we could see the Disney Skyliner, Epcot, a small lake with some odd animals, and Hollywood Studios' Tower of Terror. At night, we'd sit out and enjoy thunder/lightning storms!
The only, literally only negative thing about the resort was their required "visual inspections." These inspections were mandatory and if you opted for the staff to not enter your room during the day while you were at the park, you'd have to schedule a 1-minute walk-through with the maintenance team EVERY DAY to check lighting fixtures, appliances, and everything else was in working condition. We were there for 10 days and had to have 10 different inspections. Very, very annoying.
