Houseboats in Orkney Islands

"Friendly staff. Beautiful room. No issue arriving late on the ferry from Aberdeen. No parking but easy to find free on the road parking nearby. Lovely and plentiful breakfast but as this was not included in my booking we were surprised to discover it was so expensive (£18 each). Fabulous location which means you can walk to everything in Kirkwall and easily drive to anywhere on the main island. Could be a good base for a long stay on Orkney."

"The Ferry Inn is a combination hotel/pub with breakfast included on our booking. We ate dinner both nights in the pub restaurant. The food was good & they had several choices for each course. The location was excellent for the Scrabaster/Stromness ferry & it was easy to navigate to Kirkwall & all the sights."

"We had an incredible 2 night stay here. Fyona and Colin went above and beyond to make us feel at home and we would 100% stay there again! Breakfast was delicious, the room was cozy but just what we needed and the neighbourhood was quiet. It's about a 20 minute walk to the shops in Kirkwall which was so perfect. Can't recommend enough!"
