"The hotel is in a convenient location downtown portland. I suggest you do not park your car there however unless you want to pay an extra 50 plus dollars a night. Service is rather slow and the restaurant but the food was good and the views are amazing from the rooftop bar"

"This hotel looks plain on the outside but it is a gem inside. My room was so cute and comfy, the bathroom was beautiful and the food in the restaurant was delicious. I ended up being sick while here (a cold) and no matter when I was in my room (mostly for naps), it was quiet and easy to have a lie down for a bit before my next adventure. There are tons of restaurants around as well so finding something to eat was no trouble, if you don’t want any you eat at the hotel every time! I found the staff so helpful and friendly. They were always willing to go the extra mile to help. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. The area around the hotel seems sketchy but the whole downtown is the same and the location was honestly great. I went all over the city with transit in less than 30 minutes! I highly recommend staying here!"

"I would not stay here again. We stayed three nights, we asked for housekeeping, and no one helped us. They offered cookies at the lobby. We never found cookies. They gave us a bad room. It was across the street on the second floor and next to the stairs. We heard all people's steps during night. The only good thing was the free tickets for the Japanese gardens."

"Breakfast was good with lots of variety. Room was very clean. Staff was awesome! Front desk was very helpful with maps and suggestions for eating. Came vis train so no parking needed "

"The rooms to me are not new ,you can tell.its an older hotel . Staff is lacking of knowledge about surrounding area. The washroom doors dont lock and door doesnt close fully so there is a gap if you are dtaying with a friend if u want privacy innthe wshroom it a little uncomfortable. Outside patio os nice if its summer. And there is a $40 destination fee u have to consider when booking"

"the hotel is undergoing a remodel that is distracting. the staff is good and managing well under the circumstances. the remodel has lost the old charm an ambience that made the Heathman special."
