"The location of the inn is in fact very pretty, the room is very spacious and we had a river view lower level room. Yet, the kitchen can be better - there are just 2 stove heads that work. I cannot find a bigger bowl to wash my vegetables, nor even a ladle for soup. One of the bath towels did not smell very clean. If the above inadequacy can be corrected, I will say that it could be a good place to stay."

"Our upstairs balcony room was exquisite! It is literally on the Siuslaw River! The view was beautiful with the fog rolling in in the morning and night and then burning off during the day. The historic Siuslaw Bridge is practically a stone's throw away. With that, though, comes the humming of the cars. Even with everything shut, we could still hear a strange sound, which I thought was a ghost. I even made my husband go outside to see what it was. That's when we realized it was the vehicles...

"We loved this property- SO pretty! We stayed in the Vanilla Villa and it was so beautifully done. Rustic cabin with mid century decor, and super cute finishing touches. There is a full kitchen that was super useful especially if you are traveling with kids. With an absolutely stunning panoramic view of the gorgeous lake. "While we didn't think this would be like a room at the Holiday Inn, we weren't prepared for the cute little room we got. The rooms are what used to be a RR station and have been upfitted with enough modern conveniences that you won't be disappointed - surprised, but not disappointed. Our room (and I assume the others are like this) was filled with gadgets, devices, and appliances that were vintage for the time the RR was operating and stopped there (think early 1900's). "Liked the location near the water and two grocery stores across the parking lot. Enjoyable walking after a day’s travel. Though we didn’t use it we had a patio with two chairs and a small table where you could sit and look out at the water. A glitch on check in caused a duplicate pending charge on my credit card. Ultimately fixed. Employees were helpful and very pleasant."

"There is no a/c at this property but front desk had a box fan we used. Room very hot upon check-in. There are no windows to open - just a slider onto the balcony. These need screens so the room can cool off. We had that open and the door to the room open to cool it off. Room was clean and sunset from the balcony was amazing. Restaurant was good. Laundry facilities need cleaning and elevator needs a new floor. Staff was great."
