"The moment we entered the property it was exactly what we wanted for a small island. Close to lots of historic buildings and still near the water with a fantastic restaurant. Pool was very enjoyable. Will stay at The Gin House if we return to Statia."

"Excellent place to stay. It was an easy walk to town and other places (I’m not an active person). It was quiet and private. Great place to relax and just spend the afternoon at the pool after exploring town and the mountain. Great quality to price ratio. Only reason I don’t give it a 5 star is because although the pool was clean enough to swim, it wasn’t as clean as it should be. The service was good and not in your face You can’t give half stars but it certainly is a 4.5"

"Ce n’est pas un hôtel, comme indiqué sur Expédia : pas de réception, pas de piscine, mais une simple maison. La propriétaire a « manqué notre réservation » : donc logement pas préparé à notre arrivée. Puis elle parle de vérifier si nous avons réservé la formule avec petit déjeuner, alors qu’Expedia affiche que le petit déjeuner est compris… A noter aussi que la terrasse devant la maison ( côté mer) est celle du restaurant voisin."

"Very nice place, comfortable, quiet and very clean. We had a nice second "home" for a week. The location is good too. We rented a car, and it was very easy and quick going around."
