"There are about 30 steps from the off street parking space to the Treetops deck, but we knew that going in. One arrives at a spacious deck with a fantastic view of the Bay of Islands with Russell off in the distance - hence the elevation. It was a bit too cool to dine on the deck (there is a bbq) but at the end of each day exploring it was lovely to sit with a glass of wine on the deck, watching the light fade.
Treetops is just enough off the main roads that traffic noise was never an issue,...

"We had a great stay at this accommodation! The location is excellent, very central and within walking distance to everything. The owner was absolutely amazing, incredibly welcoming and helpful. They assisted us with a late check-in and gave us great tips and ideas for activities in the area.

"Wonderful place to stay, with extra touches to make our stay special.
Accommodation was clean and comfortable with plenty of space, with a balcony offering beautiful views over Bay of Islands. Excellent location for getting to quay fir boat and ferry trips and within walking distance of Waitangi Treaty Grounds. (Although the steep walk back up hill after a day out is quite tough...but view was worth it).

"We stayed for 1 night only in early October. The 2 bedroom apartment was excellent. The bathrooms and kitchen were very clean and tidy, as was the lounge area. There was ample parking in the basement area. The walk to the township of Paihia was along the sea-shore and was very pleasant, and close to the ferry terminal where we caught the ferry to Russell."

"Excellent. Very convenient. Room was spacious and well-equipped. Staff was very nice. We actually couldn't make it for the first night because of a change in plans so we tried to contact the hotel but couldn't get through. When we arrived the next day, we did not get any funny looks or stares. We just got the same nice, courteous service we would expect. Plus, the location cannot be beat. Right on the beach. You can literally see the ocean from here! And feel that nice sea breeze wafting through...
