"There is NO beach. It’s like a rundown marina. The closest beach is 40 mins. There is nothing close to the stay. I wish I booked something in the center of the city because it was nearly impossible to get a taxi or a grab. And when you did it was very expensive ($40 CAD). Its not worth booking this place to save money. Also the address brings you about 3 blocks away from the actual property. You have to walk through sketchy streets. Its a shame because the staff is so sweet."

"My mom and sister in law stayed at this hotel
And they absolutely loved it. It was in the middle of the everything. Walking distance to food places and shops. Staff were nice and accommodating however they are strict with check in times. They got there at 10am and were not able to check in until 3pm. The pool and other amenities were fine, breakfast was good, and over all stay is good."
"I love the villa and the staff are very nice and friendly. I also like the breakfast as it is very good and of great variety. The only suggestion for improvement is the internal Tuk tuk service going back to our villa. On our first night, we waited almost 1h for the tuk tuk to send us back to our hotel. That guy in charge of arranging tuk tuk kept telling us to wait and next one would be our turn. Ended we really waited and didn’t realise that we should just walk back then, as we would have reached our villa. After that, we realised we walk back to our villa from the Palma (lobby) is faster than waiting for tuk tuk shuttle.
One of the tuk tuk drivers, young man is very helpful as he gave us a lift when saw us walking back to villa on the second day of our stay (after breakfast at the Palma). I didn’t get his name but he is highly recommended for his excellent service and even helped us replace our room key that was suddenly spoilt, as we cannot enter the room after our breakfast. Thank you!"
"This place is off the beaten path so I appreciated the pool and being in the beach. We left for the day and never ate lunch or dinner but they would have prepared dinner for us had we wanted them too. Their breakfast every morning was amazing. They have an egg station a banh mi station. Noodle soup station chia seed pudding salads and so much more. Croissants and other breads. The staff was so nice we loved it here. I probably wouldn’t stay for more the 2 nights given how out of the way it is but it was a great place. We got a grab to the main beach by the resorts and enjoyed the day and came back and enjoyed the pool and the serenity of the place."
"Hue did a great job to ensure that we were well looked after with our toddler. It was rainy season so a few days of rain but the team work hard to ensure that everyone is still comfortable and to assist with organising tours etc. One comment is that it would be great to have a play area indoors for small children to play when the weather isn’t great."
"Our stay at Mövenpick Resort Waverly Phu Quoc has been nothing short of wonderful. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with genuine warmth and hospitality that made us feel at home.
The resort is beautifully surrounded by lush greenery, creating a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. Whether we were enjoying the pools, walking along the clean beach, or taking the fun buggy rides around the expansive property, every corner of the resort was a joy to explore.
One of our favourite daily highlights was the complimentary chocolate hour, a delightful treat that we looked forward to every afternoon! The foam party was another memorable experience, bringing smiles to both adults and children and adding a fun touch to our holiday.
Their hospitality truly made our stay extra special. Thank you, Mövenpick Resort Waverly Phu Quoc, for making our vacation so memorable!"
"Entering the resort feels like stepping back in time. The Lamark University theme is well executed and brings interesting views around every corner. The beach is very clean and soft sand and they offer kayaks and paddle boards for guest use free. With the calm water it is a must to go out on the water for a paddle. Even in the summer rainy season this resort experience head and shoulders above a typical hotel on the beach. If you come to Phu Quoc I highly recommend staying here."
