"Suitable budget apartment with very local vibes. Near to a vibrant restaurant street, two large grocery stores and a wonderful lake. Tons of coffee shops around. I had the larger studio with big terrace on the 7th floor. I loved the view and natural light. Couch and coffee table suitable for working. AC worked great even on the hottest days. Great to have in-room washing machine. One-burner stove and kettle were sufficient. Unfortunately, few dishes or cooking stuff; I had to buy plates, pan, cooking knife, spatula etc. Mattress was super thin, almost like a Japanese mat. After stacking 3 comforters on top, bed was workable but not enjoyable. Subpar cleaning, I had to scrub down the bathroom and sink after arrival. Manager is a nice guy, very reasonable. No English spoken but translator was sufficient. This Era aparthotel chain apparently specializes in converting back-alley locations into short-term rental units, many locations all over Hanoi. Note: - the phone numbers on the confirmation email didn't work, so I had no way to contact the hotel before arrival - the higher rooms with balcony get a lot of sunlight early in the morning and the blinds are ineffective; bring a sleep mask - it seems the first floor apartments have windows literally opening up into the garage area, so those will hear every single motorcycle noise - there's a clothes dyer in the garage you can use for 20k per load - There is secure motorcycle parking, free - Elevator works great"

"This was by far the most beautiful hotel I have stayed in. I went to Hanoi for a wedding and I’m from the US. I was only able to get breakfast a couple of times because of my schedule and it was the only meal that I had that tasted like home. The staff was EXCELLENT and extremely friendly. The grounds are well kept and all in all it was a very pleasant stay. My room was also a 10/10!!! I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Hanoi!"

"Overall, I had a wonderful stay and would recommend it. The rooms were perfectly clean, staff were super friendly, and gym equipment was fixed quickly when I informed them. I loved the convenient breakfast and dinner package. Adding a sauna or steam room would make it perfect! Dinner was inconsistent. My first night with Michael was absolutely wonderful. He was attentive and set the standard for excellent service; he definitely deserves a raise! Sadly, the final night fell short. Despite multiple servers, they were inattentive, and I had to get up to request a drink. The salad that night was also much too salty. The staff overall are wonderful, but for breakfast, I suggest better options for dietary requirements. The menu is very meat-heavy with beef, pork, or chicken in almost everything. It would be amazing to see vegan and vegetarian choices like tofu, roasted potatoes, or vegetable salad rolls. Expanding the drink menu to include sparkling (Perrier) water and fresh-squeezed juices at the bar and breakfast would also be a fantastic touch. Thank you to the team, and especially Michael, for a lovely stay!"
