"This is a family ran lodge with plenty of character. Rudy and Claudia are very helpful and attentive The dogs, cat, llama and little rabbit are super friendly as well. Perfect place to kick back and relax, it is a little tough to get in and out of there so plan accordingly. The place is a little rough on the edges, but that is the exact appeal. "This was incredible. If you are looking for a 5 star resort this may not be for you , but if you want a real authentic experience with an incredible view , I mean incredible. (This is saying a lot as I am from Alaska and have a high level of expectation for views ) the family that runs the base camp and restraint were so sweet this was one of the most memorable stays I’ve had in my life. "Lovely hotel. However, we did not get the rooms that we booked. We booked a Family room with a balcony and views, and a Superior Triple Room. When we arrived, there were apparently no more Family Rooms with balconies available, so our rooms were switched. Our kids in the Superior Triple Room got the balcony and views, while we did not. They need a better booking system."

The resort is tucked away from the main town, which gave it a quiet and relaxing feel. We especially appreciated the complimentary pickup and drop-off service, which made getting to and from Ollantaytambo very easy and convenient. Everything felt thoughtfully designed and aligned with the resort's sustainable approach. We left wishing we had booked a longer stay and will definitely return on our next trip to Peru."
