"The hotel is situated just by the Munster in the old town and couldn’t be better placed. The hotel is beautiful and very old but well maintained. It has so much character. There was fresh fruit in the room on arrival. The staff were very cheerful and helpful and a total pleasure. The breakfast in the attached restaurant was superb. I highly recommend this hotel and would love to visit it again."

"Kaiserstühler Hof is a wonderful, traditional German hotel/restaurant, building on generations of service starting as the standard "post office hotel" that one finds in many German towns and cities. We loved every aspect of it, except that we happened to be in Breisach during a heat wave. Temperature was in the 90s, and this venerable hotel does not have air-conditioning. Staff gladly provided an oscillating fan, which helped us get through the night. Aside from that we highly recommend this...

"This was one of our favourite hotel stays ever! Beautiful wood panelled lodge set into the hills of the Black Forest. The room was spotless and the food at dinner and breakfast was faultless too. The service was friendly throughout. The view from the beer garden alone is worth coming for. 10/10 P.s. It’s a personal preference thing but I like to have two pillows. There was only one in the room so do ask at the desk if you prefer two"
