"We went down to my daughter’s graduation and I picked this hotel since it was close to the venue. The staff were very nice. Check in was quick and my room was clean. The beds and pillows were soft which I really like. The bathroom was clean. The breakfast area was so good. I would totally stay here again. Thanks for a great stay.

"There is a reason this is a cheap place. You don't get much. The room I was in had poor water pressure. The shampoo was out. They provided a bar of soap and the body wash dispenser had a little in it. The pillows were thin, but the bed was comfortable. The TV had plenty of channels and the wifi worked ok. I had to ask for the wifi password, though. They did not provide that without asking. Check-in was like any other place. They had actual room keys like it was 20 years ago. In fact, everything about this motel was like Bush had just invaded Iraq for no valid reason. The town is small and seemed sketchy, but nothing happened to me. The key dropped out of my pocket when I was at a restaurant, and someone returned it. The best part of this place is that two doors down is a bakery and restaurant with delicious Mexican food for a decent price. The bakery goods looked amazing, although I only had one churro at breakfast. This is where to get your morning coffee."
"Well, considering at check in, I walked in on the front desk person loudly arguing with a prostitute for running her “business” out of her room, I’d say this probably is a solid 2-star facility. I wasn’t expecting the Ritz, but I mean… at least maybe not a room that stank so badly of cat urine and less hooker fights would’ve been nice. Proximity to the freeway made my room quite noisy, too. So I guess I’d say this overall - if you are desperate for a place to just use the bathroom and sleep, this could work. But just know what you’re getting into. Not the safest area, but I didn’t experience any other craziness. Slept, woke up, left. Car was fine.
I’ll also add the Hampton Inn in Salinas isn’t too bad and isn’t that expensive if it isn’t Laguna seca or pga week. Enjoy!"
"PARDON THE RENOVATION CONSTRUCTION: Room was newly remodeled but I don't think they are finished with final things. Like there were no towel bars to hang your wet towels and no toilet paper holders. Brand new TVs were being installed in the lower rooms along with other renovations going on. The construction crew were pretty messy with the trash and the wind blowing didn't help much. The outside property was not clean looking at all, but WOW the rooms look really nice! The one negative thing I have to say is that there is no coffee in the room. They have a coffee machine in the lobby but I went at 6:45 AM and the lobby was locked so be sure to ask what the hours are to get a cup of coffee. Overall, once renovation construction is over, this place will be really nice. Construction was quiet and kept reasonable hours. Construction is taking up a lot of parking spaces during the day, but at night there was plenty of parking. I will stay here again."
