I found hairs in my bed linens, the coffee pot had old grounds in it, and it smelled musty. There were also stains on the couch and the carpet.

The property is great and walkable to the beach! The problem is the cleanliness of the facility and smell The staff was great though and fixed my areas of concern.

Light is out in front of the room so you can't see your keys, three maintenance requests to get the light fixed and no support, pool water is brown and surrounding areas are also really dirty, room has broken latch for refrigerator, blinds are broken so people can see in, we booked 3 single rooms and tried to move in to a multi room unit since we were paying so much, but we weren't able to move to a multi-room unit since we booked with third parties, but the prices when you try and book thru the hotel are much more expensive than third parties.

Hi Robyn,We will look into this situation with the light out in front of your room. Our pool is continuously monitored and chemicals checked and we close our pool if it is not balanced. We have replaced about 20 blinds recently and will continue working on this. I will look into the blinds in your room. It is very difficult for us to make changes to 3rd party reservations. We checked the pricing and found no difference between any of them for the same room types, however discounts can usually be applied which could make the rate changes. Thank you for your feedback. While the room was accommodating for our party of 6, there was no bedding and provided for the pull out sofa, nor adequate toiletries. We had 1/2 a roll of TP and one full one for 2 1/2 days, no trash bag in bathroom, the door handle on the balcony was broke and sliced my hand, as well as the carpet was pulled up in one area and my daughter tripped and smacked her knee and face. I hope things will be fixed for others next time.

Minus a hiccup during checkin (they gave me the wrong room but fixed it) overall if you need a 2 bedroom, pet friendly place, and decently priced I would highly recommend!

We have come here for many years I’ve never had anything bad to say until unfortunately this time. We showed up on check in day around 4… unfortunately sat in the lobby until 630pm to receive our key for our room after along day of traveling and young children in tow. We usually come for the pool especially and this time the pool was HORRIBLE! It was so Murkey and gross you couldn’t even see the stairs to go into the pool ☹️ hot tub was gross with a buildup of brown foam and empty the day after so it was un usable. Sadly we won’t be coming back here and I’ll be passing it on to family also as this hotel is usually our goto. Very disappointed.

Hi Ashley,We are working on updating many things to prevent experiences like this. We would love to be able to get all of our guests in their room by our check in time, if not earlier. Unfortunately, we were unable to make this happen for you. I am very sorry you had to wait as long as you did and I understand how difficult it can be to wait with kids. Hopefully, you were able to enjoy some of our outdoor amenities while you were waiting. The pool had to be closed to allow our team to clean and balance out the PH levels. When the PH levels are unbalanced, the water becomes cloudy. This is caused by the high usage. We really strive to offer our guests a better experience than this. We really would love to have you return and see that we have turned this back around to a place that you and your family will enjoy.

I have been staying here with my family for many years. This is the first time having to wait to get in our room after 4 pm. There was underwear and socks left in one of the rooms. No bar soap in either of the bathrooms. There was only 4 towels, 3 washcloths and 1 hand towel. There was 8 of us staying in a 3 queen beds and a sofa bed room. Also the sofa bed was broken and we had problems opening it and it had a broken hinge that stuck up.

Our goal is to provide enough towels in each room for every guest it sleeps. We had an order of towels that have since come in and we now have plenty of bath towels, hand towels and washcloths that we are putting in every room. we will have our maintenance team look at the sofa sleeper to get that fixed or replaced. We really hope that you continue to come here for many years to come.

We were expecting to have a great weekend with our kids, we arrived at the property and were informed that that the pool was not in service nor was the hot tub or sauna. We were also told that the hotel was going through upgrades and our room was not upgraded yet. We got to our room and found; what looked like blood splattered all over a door, hair all over a toilet, dirty floors, a half loaf of hard old bread in the oven and bugs on the towels hanging in the bathroom. I complained to the front desk and was told the hotel was completely booked and they could not switch me to another room. They was also another lady inquiring at the front desk about “why there was piles of mattresses out in the back”, and if they had bed bugs because her husband found a bug in their bed. The place is old but was never this bad, we have stayed here many times in the past but we will never return and will make sure none of our friends or family stay at this awful place.

We have stayed at the Polynesian, annually, for years. Always affordable and convenient with full kitchens. This year may be the last. Pool was closed. Fire alarm went off 2 nights in a row, due to a sprinkler system error, at 2 am. Big concern: had we been sleeping- we would have not heard the alarms. Room smelled heavily of smoke, the kitchenware was in poor shape, and the bathrooms were dirty. Bonus: the staff was exceptional and accommodating.

Our first room had a broken refrigerator; moved to a room with a dirty tub and toilet, long black dog hair and dirt on the floors, tv and microwave did not work. No maintenance staff were available so I borrowed a vacuum and cleaning supplies from the front desk and did it myself. We would have left but it was my son’s 8th birthday and we didn’t want to make a big deal of it in front of him, so my husband took him to the arcade while I cleaned. Pool and hot tub were old and needed a good scrub and re-painting. Not worth the money. No refund or compensation given.

The elevator wasn't work but the staff was very accommodating, allowing us to use staff evevator with staff assistance. I am on oxygen and couldn't good up 3 flights of stairs. Everyone was very nice. The hotel is alittle date. But we enjoyed our stay.

We went to check in at 3pm. They said to come back at 3:30. We came back at 4 and our room was not ready. In fact we had to wait 2 more hours until our room was ready. There was hair on the bathroom floor and on the hair dryer, we had no towels or hand towels. We only got 2 wash cloths. It just was not a good start to our stay. I will think twice before we go back there.

The kids loved the game room and board game lounge, and the pool. We had great food and service at the restaurant for Thanksgiving! My only suggestion would be installing a larger, real hot tub.

I like the kitchenette. And the fire place. But our friend's had a very memorable sleep because of how uncomfortable the fold out couch was! Vary sore back. However the bed in the main bedroom was pretty comfortable.

The staff at the front desk was very nice. However, our ocean view, pet-friendly room was gross and not stocked well with the basic necessities. The carpet was absolutely disgusting and in SEVERE need of a shampooing. The glass table in the kitchen, along with the mirrors (in the kitchen) had fingerprints and food residue on them. There were only towel sets for 2 people in the bathroom, for a room that can sleep 6. There was no soap for the shower. I had to ask for these things from the front desk. The clock in the bedroom wasn't plugged in, so we plugged it in to set it. Didn't work at all. The owners of room 314 also need to update this room in a bad way! We paid about $200 for the night and won't do it again! We've been coming to the Polynesian for years, but can't do that again.

Things do get old, Carpet is outdated, its got to go, replace with linoleum it will look cleaner.. Housekeeping needs to do better, in general bathroom floors especially around toilet. I feel for each night we stay we should get a fire log at no additional cost. As gets cooler outside heat pool up a bit more. All staff is very friendly, helpful. When we come we choose from 3 different hotels often when visiting Ocean Shores Polyneisian is one of those three. Overall we always enjoy our stay.

First, our check in was at 4pm and we didnt get assigned a room until almost 6pm due to the lack of staff at the property. That part I could understand. The room that was assigned to us was a nightmare! Room #111 should not even be a guest room! There is an entrance/exit door to one of the properties hallways, and every morning at 6am, SLAM! They need to fix the door so it closes gently! This is one of my go to places at Ocean Shores, and i will probably continue to stay here because i do like the property. Just needs some updating

The property was pupply friendly and the staff indulged them. They made us feel welcome and special. The room we had was a one-bedroom ocean-view suite that had a full kitchen. It was a wonderful getaway. There is a nice trail down to the ocean from the resort and deer visited the property each morning.
