The property is beautiful ocean new and walking true the beach it has beautiful beaches and parks children safe is not a 5 stars because the services but it has international breakfast and everything the hotel should have . I travel a lot and this hotel has what everyone needs no bars is like home in very nice quiet area . I love it !

Great hotel one block from the ocean
Right from when we walked in the door, the staff was welcoming, friendly, and professional. They continued thAt way until we checked out. The night staff was wonderful as well. Comfortable beds, good space and amenities in the room, and wonderful porches and public spaces. Amazing location.

Our room was too small and on top of that we were charged extra for our 2 year old. Additionally it appears that the building hasn’t been renovated in a while.

Construction was happening on 3rd floor. Long walk to my room which I asked to be close to elevator due to health issues. Icemaker broken in freezer. For the price I paid expected better

Good afternoon - We believe you reviewed the wrong hotel. Our Hotel is in Ocean Grove, NJ and being an historic building, does not have an elevator, nor do we have construction going on. We do show that you were a guest of ours back in July, but still are sure this review was meant for another hotel that you must of recently stayed in. The room was very clean and cozy. The front wrap around porches provided a terrific setting for just relaxing and listening to the sounds of the ocean waves. The breakfast was so plentiful and so many choices of home made breakfast items. Just a great place that’s well run! We plan to come back again!!

Location was great, with an easy walk right to the beach. Multiple porches to relax on, beautiful landscapin. "Free" Parking is on street, and not reserved, hit or miss as you compete with beach goers. Beach tags, not included with stay like most places, however can purchase these at the front desk at 1/2 price. If booking through a 3rd party site, def check your reservation with Ocean Plaza directly, did not find out until morning of check-in we had to change rooms halfway through our stay, and pack up everything to relocate to another room, two floors up. Staff was dismissive about this, when it was very inconvenient to us, we were without a room for several hours, as they cleaned and turned over the rooms. Staff just blamed expedia, and made no attempt to compensate or even at the least apologize for the mix up, front desk staff actually sat at computer and laughed about it, saying expedia just wanted to fill the rooms. This clearly impacted our stay, will not be staying here again.

This was a lovely property! The house was warm and welcoming and in the perfect part of town. The breakfast was the best I’ve seen and with lots of options. The one little note is that it’s an older house, so if you get a loud upstairs neighbor you can definitely hear any step they take. That kept us up a bit, but I think we had particularly loud folks up there. I would definitely stay again.

The Ocean Plaza is in a great location to shopping in Ocean Grove and a very short walk to shopping and entertainment in Asbury Park. Park your car and bike or walk all around the area.
