"Nice room, Lovely Staff and Breakfast area"

"Très bel endroit bien entretenu propre le chauffage dans la douche, le soin pour les cheveux et le corps était très apprécié, les employés étaient tous curieux de savoir d'où nous venions, tous très souriant juste un peu déçu de ne pas avoir séjourné dans le château c'est ce qui m'avait décidé lors de la sélection, nous étions situés dans une aile sans trop de charme extérieur."

"Very nice little hotel in good location to driving just about anywhere. It was clean and comfortable for the 3 of us. Check in and out was simple, nice staff. Restaurant staff not really very welcoming, we very much felt like outsiders and that we were just in the way. We ate the first 2 dinners there and one breakfast. Dinner food is absolutely outstanding but was disappointed that the breakfast menu on site was not the same online. I was really wanting the eggs Benedict but it wasnt on the...

"We had to leave the property before breakfast and the staff provided us with to go bags including a yogurt and fruit and croissant. The hotel property was beautiful and conducive to a nice walk"

"We stayed at Braid Hills Hotel for the first 3 nights of our honeymoon, and had a fantastic stay! Staff were lovely and very accommodating. Location was a bit far from downtown, but easy enough to get everywhere using the bus, and there was a bus stop right out front. Food in the restaurant was good but a little pricey. Hotel and rooms were clean and comfortable. "

"We at first got a room which was too warm, with the airco not working. Gladly we got another room. Bathroom (for disabled) could use some renovation. Staff was helpfull. Nice lobby with free tea and coffee for guestst. Superb location for exploring Edingburgh, buses and trams stop right in front, incl. the Airlink bus. Our room was at the side of the hotel, nice and quiet. Overall, recommended."

"After 11 nights of "roughing it" in 5 other hotels around Scotland, we fell in love with the Doubletree. All of the basic/important things were top notch, and there were many nice touches, including indirect lighting and an abundance of electrical outlets. The staff was terrific, with three different onsite restaurant employees helping us with a chaotic and very late room service order"
