"I wish to commend Area Hotel General Manager, Carlos Guzman, who sat at the front desk while his staff had called out sick. Carlos was very kind, courteous and curious about what brought us to the island, and when he learned of our nephew’s wedding and our unmet hope for 2 adjoining rooms to accommodate a daughter and grandchildren, he unsolicitedly upgraded our room to a 2 bedroom suite, which offered the five of us plenty of room and sufficient sleeping areas, as well as a full sized...

"We visited in October - the weather was beautiful and we could easily walk to the beach. There were many dining choices, some within walking distance. We had a first floor room with a balcony overlooking Nantucket Sound with Martha's Vineyard in plain sight. The room was spacious and comfortable. A freshly cooked breakfast was offered daily. Parking was available, either in front or in the rear of the building. We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay and hope to return again."
