"Location brilliant , building outside needs painting / cleaning , gardens overgrown , breakfast good , rooms need overhaul , carpets really dirty and stained , bathrooms very tired looking ,swimming pool very nice , could be a very good hotel with a lot of work , wouldn’t stay there again "

The attention to detail on the decor of the whole property gives a truly comforting & relaxed feel. The hotel is in a great location within a short 5-10 minute walk in to Chinon centre. "This place is impeccable. In spite of it being in an historic building it has been lovingly maintained. Our triple room had an enormous bedroom with twin sinks. The beds were in separate rooms and there were original paintings on the walls. Breakfast was very good. Stay there if you’re in the area."
