"The hotel looks tired including the decor at the entrance of faded artificial flower garlands and lounge furniture Cleaners cleaning bathroom surfaces with bathroom towels and wiping glasses and mugs with napkins rather than washing them Wobbly toilet roll holder and toilet seat"

"Bar food and staff are excellent. We took our dog who is well behaved and staff fussed over her. Room was clean and comfortable. Very old pub so sloping floors were bit of a giggle. Parking at St Julians carpark is a doodle if you down load the app. 5 mins walk from the pub. People moan about noise from pub in rooms in some reviews but they shut up by 10:30 and it becomes quiet as a church yard so no problem. (Might be different when they have live music so best check if you retire early)"

"The room was a little worn, air con didn’t work, the radiator made a noise through the night, the wooden strip going into the bathroom was lifted so stubbed toe a couple of times. Bathroom was very tight. Bed was comfy. The bar didn’t have the greatest choice, shuts early so not very good if travelling from afar like us, with late check in. Staff were nice, convent location. Would stop there again just not in room 244."
