"Air conditioning sounded funny like a helicopter taking off and there was bugs everywhere flying around."

"Great older motel showing its age. Like all older motels, it suffers from a lack of electrical outlets, but we've learned to travel with power strips. The staff bends over backward to help. Room has many boutique features: full size coffee maker, patterned sheets, southwestern art, fleece blanket and genuine pieced quilt, list of local restaurants that aren't chain dining, complementary ear plugs (not needed). "Room was clean. It's an older property that got some recent updates. Sadly, not much dining options nearby. Parking lot is gravel (be aware when travelling with a motorcycle). It did the job."

"It worked for over night, but it was so gross. It appears to be from the 50s maybe, with zero renovations. Carpet looked like someone puked on it. The shower was so disgusting I didn't use it. It looked like there was brown scum all over it and the tile was crumbling. The door didn't latch so it either flew open or had to be locked to stay shut. Smelled dirty. Im not sure more than basic cleaning had been down in years. Air conditioner was so loud and I'm sure it didn't help the air quality in...

"The rooms air conditioner was noisy. Hard to sleep."

"The water pressure in the shower was fabulous. We liked seeing charger stations on both sides of the room. My allergies really kicked up making me think a cat had stayed in that room. We suggest having non-pets rooms available in a different section of the hotel. There was plenty of parking. The breakfast was okay."

"The exterior curb appeal is dismal - in fact, I wanted to cancel my reservation. The inside is a bit dilapidated but at least the rooms were ok."

"This hotel is not only a great value, but a cultural find. The huge lobby is filled with beautifully made sculptures. The Howard Johnsons of our parents and grandparents is not around anymore, but the owner and team of this property have made a genuine attempt to bring back this large but aging building. Many of the rooms have been fully remodeled and feature every modern amenity. You will not find a better budget hotel in the area."

"I am very thankful for the front desk staff at this location. We arrived VERY late due to the Amtrak train being delayed. The front desk guy was super helpful and got us checked in quickly. A different front desk guy was super helpful in getting me to Enterprise the next morning for a rental. If we are in the area again, we will stay here."

"The washer and dryers were out of order. They didn’t tell us about them until after we bought laundry detergent from them. The carpets were stained. The breakfast was adequate. Not a large variety of food."
