"Nice spacious and very clean room. Well facilitated with a tea tray and bottles of water. Room was immensely hot but thankfully able to open all the windows. Liked fresh cooked breakfast (as opposed to usual buffets) however I would love to see a better drinkable coffee being served and a little gripe - after requesting hard poached egg with no ‘snot’ my egg was totally snotty when I cut it and ran into my breakfast so didn’t eat much. "All staff were excellent, super friendly and helpful, I'd booked an attic room but seeing my husband on crutches they immediately swapped us into a first floor room which I think was an upgrade as it had a huge freestanding copper bath and Chesterfield sofa as well as a king (or maybe super king) sized bed. Despite the room not having been planned for use, everything was clean and fully stocked which was impressive. Bed extremely comfy, didn't want to leave! Breakfast being included was great,...

"Room ( i was in No 2 ) was in good decorative order . However there was a Green light permanently on all night by the door that could not be covered / turned off . Additionally when the Water Tank in the bathroom decided to replenish ( quite randomly - not after use ) it sounded like a Helicopter taking off . Very loud , and not conducive to a good nights sleep . "

"Great location with lots of shops, restaurants and cafes close by. Hexham Abbey within easy walking sistance. Room was spacious and very quiet. Nice 'extras' provided (sewing kit, razor, toothbrush and past) which is no longer standard. Parking was easy and on the street directly opposite the hotel."
