I took this photo on top of the hill where the Carleton Martello Tower sits in Saint Johns, New Brunswick. The tower was built by the British army during the war of 1812 as one of the projected series of fortifications intended to block the western land approach to Saint John.

The tower was neglected and only used during emergencys. It served as a fire control headquaters in World War 2.

This is just one of the beautiful views you can see from on the hill. This town has so much history and I'm so glad I got to experience it's beauty.
