"Due to a very late check-in, we did not have the opportunity to report a room issue at the time. Unfortunately, the bed was extremely uncomfortable, so we didn't sleep at all that night. We found the mattress to be sagging and uneven, surely not up to the standard of a 4-star hotel."

"We had a very nice stay at The Pierside Santa Monica. The location is excellent—just steps from the beach and very convenient for walking around the area. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the breakfast at the hotel restaurant was fresh and very tasty. The only downside was the parking. The valet service is quite expensive, which was surprising since the parking appears to be in the same building as the hotel. Overall, a great stay thanks to the location and service, but the parking cost is something to be aware of."

"Decent enough place for the price. Good location to DTLA. Slightly in need of a sprucing up (paint, e.g.). Room was fine. One gripe- half the days I went to get free coffee the urn was being refilled and there was a 5-10 minute wait for coffee. Seriously? Get another urn and rotate them. People are grumpy and rushed in the morning and just want their coffee."
