"I am really, really tired of hotels claiming that they have ‘free wifi’ (I stay in hotels >300 nights per year). This hotel had only intermittent electricity (so no power to the small fan in the room at night). In 48 hour stay perhaps 2 hours of connectivity. I encourage Hotels.com to add a third category “wifi MAY be available”"

"You pay high $ value for this hotel and the first thing is the half mile road leading to hotel is nothing but pot holes and absolutely rugged. Entering the reception area, there was not enough light to fill in the forms, etc. Amenities in the room were less than adequate. Poor lighting and just one plug to use your charger hair dryer etc. BTW, no hair dryer. "

"The food was horrible if you are not a fish eater you could go with out food. Warning the chicken curry is full of bones broken and sharp. Our complementary breakfast never came. they have 3 items on there dinner menu and you still have to wait 1.5 to 2 hours for it to arrive. When you go to check out they had no credit card machine so that added a layer of difficulty to the stay. "

"Well maintained buildings and rooms. But there was no WiFi or supper available even though both were advertised."

"I really enjoyed the hippos grazing at night. The staff also built us a bonfire the first night we were there and we were able to eat around it. The biggest problem was they said we were not expected ( even though my name was clearly on their guest list) and that they did not know we had a 6 year old with us. They were very confused at first and did not know how to handle the situation. One man was very unfriendly."

"It was my third time staying at Chobe and it was again nice stay. Friendly staff, especially housekeepers were very professional. I also relaxed at the tent and enjoyed watching nature from the balcony, restaurants, and swimming pools. We could watch hippos from the restaurant at dinner. Also we have to be careful because some animals such as baboons and Savanna monkeys visited the balcony, a baboon even took my snacks and he seemed to know we have something to eat. One thing I regret was...

"Staff helpful early breakfast on last day. Room spacious. Good good bed. Shower nice except one day when little water. Secure place. Parking. Weaver birds nesting above the little cottage where my room was. They did not seem to be expecting us but sorted out so all well. Breakfast good and i ate al a carte in the evening and food ok. Arua is distant so good to be able to find a reasonable hotel to stay which met our needs. It is quite expensive for the best rooms"

"Good overall, but do not expect the pictures you see to be what you get. Pictures show larger rooms with balconies, why my room was extremely small, no balcony, just a window overlooking where the kitchen staff was prepping food, and a bathroom so small the door only opened half way. This is my second time staying here and both times, the room was not as shown online. "
