We had a great experience staying at the Seaside Hotel in North Vancouver. The Front Desk staff, especially Jason, was extremely helpful — he assisted us with using the cart to move all of our luggage from the parking garage to our room, and he also recommended several nearby restaurants and bars. ...

In general quieter than the city side of the harbour but excellent facilities, restaurants, markets, entertainment, and easy access to Grouse Mountain and Capilano. A lovely part of the city with an excellent and frequent Sea Bus Service.
Pleasant area and harbour looking over to downtown Vancouver
Public transport really good and cheap. Get a Compass card (similar to London's Oyster). If you have young or old there is a concession version with significant savings. Plenty of OK popular restaurants. The city is very inviting and relaxed.
Lovely modern city.
A really nice market, great pubs and restaurants, a nice feel. Super easy to get the ferry across to downtown as you needed.
