"I am so glad i found the FCI for our first trip to the Outer Banks. We really enjoyed our six night stay there during the last week of October. Our room was perfect for us and the yummy hot breakfast every morning was amazing. We chose a historic inn rather than a hotel or airbnb because we like the more personal touch an Inn provides. "Yes, the room (126) was dated but it was also spotless. I have stayed at much newer hotels that couldn't touch the cleanliness of this room! Staff was excellent. Having the convenience to simply open the back door and walk out to a pet yard at 3am for my pup to potty was really nice. We will stay here again on our next visit. "

"Walk across the street to the public beach access. Next to an ice cream parlor. Nice place for people wanting an old school hotel and not the holiday in express. Good parking. Enjoyed the trip back in time. "
