"Very nice room overlooking the beautiful garden. Although it was a very hot night, with the windows open all around I got a cooling breeze from the garden. The area was quiet. Easy walking distance to cafes, shops, restaurants and the market. Secure parking."

Maison Coquelin - Adults Only

"Green Home/Maison Coquelin. Parking, plentiful. Restaurant, adequate but limited menu. Garden, lush and peaceful. Location, La Roche Guyon. Stunning town with access to green space along the River Seine. Hosts, friendly. Hotel negatives: Public areas – the bin in the dining room toilet was full on two consecutive mornings; the peddle function did not work and we had to open the lid manually. The wash hand basin had not been cleaned thoroughly with evidence of an accumulation soap scum around the base of the tap. Guest accommodation – we stayed for three nights in heatwave conditions. Throughout our stay we had the same bed sheets (we know this because the bed wasn’t made up for us). We had fresh towels on arrival but had to ask for replacements on the next two days. Unfortunately, the bathroom was unventilated, leading to damp, sour smelling towels. Ordinarily, we wouldn’t ask for fresh towels on a daily basis. The only waste facility was a very small (non-functioning) peddle bin in the bathroom; nothing in the bedroom itself. The bin filled quickly, leading to an overspill of rubbish on the bathroom floor. Whilst this appears to be a litany of gripes – it isn’t. We simply hope that this feedback is accepted in the spirit it is offered, in an attempt to make guests’ stays more comfortable and generate recommendations for future bookings. This is an honest and fair reflection of our experience at this guest house and wish Meng and Arthur every success for the future."

"First time using the hotel - late arrived at 10:40pm and reception was open and the bar also. Hotel parking secure behind a metal gate with code entry. Restaurant in the hotel which we didn’t have time to use, noticed there were at least 5-6 places to eat and drink adjacent to the hotels. Staff very helpful, beds really comfortable, shower was hot, very large smart TV and a kettle with coffee/tea. We’ll use it again."

"We had an overnight stay here on our way back to Calais. Electric car charging point available, although only 1 so we were lucky to get it! Slow charging so ideal as we left it overnight to be fully charged. Beautiful setting right on the Seine. We had a standard room which was perfectly good for 1 night: air con, big walk in shower, tea and coffee facilities (though take English tea bags if you like English tea!). We had dinner in the restaurant which was delicious and the staff were lovely. Breakfast the next day was delicious. Very good value and we would def stay here again if on our way to Calais."

"Lovely room, very comfy bed, loved the balcony overlooking the bridge and the river. We had the breakfast which was good value - nice it was served on a tray, we could take to our room or we decided to have it outside. We'd have liked some seats here and there in the island to sit by the river."

"This is a lovely hotel in a beautiful town. Breakfast was good, as well, and reasonably priced. Parking was ample and free (yay!). Our only complaint was that our room had the strangest feature - there is a window (with an integrated mirror) from the bedroom into the only bathroom. That meant anyone using the bathroom (and there were 4 of us in the room) was in full view of anyone in the bedroom. I'm sure this is great for voyeurs, not so much for families traveling with adult children."

"Cycling London to Paris. This was our first stop. No bike storage, but chained to railings in full sight of 24hr reception. Hotel was very nice, and looking at staying here again. Food was delicious, including evening buffet. Staff were very helpful, including escorting us to see the chef to discuss vegetarian buffet options (and help with language barrier). Unfortunately, we did not have a long enough stay to enjoy the hotel's facilities (pool, spa, golf, grounds, etc), but would look at staying here again. "
