"Our family enjoyed staying in the quiet countryside. The reservation includes a breakfast and dinner buffer, which was delicious. They also have complimentary drinks and snacks from 3 to 6pm. The hot springs felt relaxing as well. The hotel is isolated, and the nearest convenient store is a 10 minute walk away, but the trees and mountains really make you feel immersed in nature. Great reset from the hustle and bustle of city life."

"Excellent traditional Japanese ryokan hotel with great staff. Having a private onsen (some of the rooms only) overlooking the fast-flowing river was the cherry on top. The rooms are spacious and the in-house restaurant served excellently prepared and presented traditional Japanese food which was a great cultural experience."

"Room was clean and tidy with lots available for travellers. Tooth brushes razors and such. Robes and towels in the room. The staff was always very helpful and curtious, more than willing to go out of their way to accommodate within reason. Although booking through Expedia gave me a good rate on the room, breakfast was an additional 2500 yen per morning of use. That being said the breakfast was very good and worth the amount and then some."

"The hotel was build Meiji era so it has a unique character and a charm to it. However, it does not provide a modern convenience. It sets on the top of steep hill so you need to be prepared for some leg work if you don’t have a form of motor transportation."

"I stayed only for one night but the hotel was excellent, staff were helpful, spacious Japanese style room. A bit of walk from the Kinugawa Onsen Station but it is a nice walk. I will stay again if I am in the area again."
