The night clerk was not very pleasant to deal with, ask a question and it was like your bothering her, the lady on the day shift was very helpful for a first time individual in New Orleans.

Overall: totally fine but not anything great. Pros: - Excellent, friendly, helpful staff - Good location - Very cool old building Cons: - Small room - Uncomfortable mattress/pillows - Very loud at night (Air Conditioning, outdoor traffic, other rooms) - Facilities not in great condition, especially in bathroom - No amenities (e.g. balcony, roof deck, pool, gym, etc.)

No frills but great location- very pleased
We had a great stay at The Whitney. The location was perfect for our girlfriends getaway weekend-- quick walk to the French Quarter, short uber to Frenchman Street, right next to the St. Charles Streetcar. Our favorite, though, was the French Truck Coffee right next door, which supplied us with delicious coffee and breakfast sandwiches every morning. The room at the hotel was a weird layout... a kind suite, which meant two full bedrooms and a bathroom (no mini fridge or couch), which worked for us (but wouldn't have for a couple). Also, they didn't service our room every day, which was odd. Nevertheless, it served it's purpose, and we both slept great.

We only stayed one night but had a great experience. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The common areas were clean and quiet. The rooms were clean, there was some noise from the outside and the hall but nothing I couldn’t handle. I would definitely stay here again.

Great Location But Short On Amenities
Overall I suppose it was o.k. Kind of hard to get really excited about the pathetically undersized so called continental breakfast, the drain in the tub that didn't quite work or the headboard that fell from the wall. Chair in the room was old and beat up. All for $300 a night. We've had much better than this. It is basically a 2.5 star hotel trying to justify inflated rates with a historic building and a good location, Coffee in the room was good though!

Downtown NOLA
This hotel is located in the business district and is walking distance to the French Quarter and other attractions. It is an old bank building with ornate design elements. It’s has been updated for comfort but still an old building structure. The location is the best attribute. There are little to no amenities. There is valet parking for approximately $30/day.

Location was great!! Close enough to the french quarter but far enough away to not deal with the crowds. Staff was really friendly, and the rooms were very clean. Definitely an old building, but still cute and historical!

The hotel is not your typical hotel. It's an old band, with the vault still visible. If you are looking for a 21st century hotel, this isn't it. If you want to feel valued, this is the place.

Cool but dirty
The hotel room was very dirty. The bed linens were stained. There was a whole in the fitted sheet. There were stains all over the bathroom. It was quite disgusting. The fact that it was an old bank was neat. And the positive ends there.

We loved the location as it was an easy walk to French quarter and the WWII Museum. We also liked the fact that it is a historic building. It would have been nice ot have onsite dining and lounge area, but that is nit picking a bit. The fact it was peaceful and away far enough from the louder parts of the city made us happy.

Location was good. It was about a ten minute walk to the French Quarter. Parking is valet, $32 per day. It's a bery basic hotel. It's not much more than rooms to sleep in. Overall it was enjoyable

The front desk people are extremely rude. They have the Worse attitude ever. On my way back waited for valet about 30 minutes to bring my car, when I asked them why it’s taking too long , they said they took my car to a wrong hotel by mistake, eventually when they brought my car , they parked it in the corner of street blocked by 2 trucks, overall I don’t recommend this hotel at all.
