This hotel has the most comfortable beds we have ever slept on. It is very clean although the decor is a bit outdated. I love the fact that we can walk up the hill and buy food or supplies at Fiddleheads (my favorite health foody kind of place when visiting) and the refrigerator in the room is actually big enough to put things in. Perfect for a New London visit. I wish the restaurant served Sunday breakfast past 10am. We miss it every time.

After spending a night and then traveling for a few days I returned to new London after the whole evening was shot due to try to get a rental car replaced. Will never do business with Avis. The delay tide up my time such that I arrived at the HI New London after 2:00… could not get a room because it was after 2:00… there are two companies that lost my business today and forever

It took the front desk over 45 minutes to come check the guests in. On a Saturday when they were booked for conventions, cheer competitions, and military events, they should have two people at check in.

We had a great 2 nights there. We were in town for basketbsll tourny at Mohegan Sun. Its was great to have a quiet place to retreat to after the lights and energy at Mohegan. The first night, we were able to walk to a bar/pool room serving food til midnight. We also discovered Jake's Diner, where we could pay for/leave receipt for a hungry person who might need it later. They had a whole stack of receipts, a credit to community minded customers. I would stay there again.

Very convenient to get to& Close to where I wanted to go. Close to quite a few amenities but the room needed a little more tlc. Beds were comfy and the bathroom was clean but all surfaces in room needed to be wiped down especially table tops/desktops, etc. Otherwise, my stay was enjoyable.

Hotel was nice, but not great. bed was comfortable. Would be nice to have a tv guide to show what channel is what. Didn't work using remote. Heard train pass by several times
