"The lobby, bar, and other common areas are very nice and clean. The rooms have everything that you need in them. And the elevators are super efficient and fast even when it felt like a lot of people were going up and down. If you do self parking, it is just around the corner maybe a 50 yd walk. Just keep that in mind."

"The Mark Spencer is not what it was. We have stayed here I think four times and the most recent visit likely will be our last. First kudos to the staff for being solicitous and very helpful. However our room was not cleaned well. We found an old soap wrapper in the bathroom, some lost headphones under the bed, and a spent coffee packet in the coffee maker filter basket. "The room was clean and spacious and the location is great. But it's a real bummer not to be able to make tea in my room. I woke up hours before the cafe was open. Also staff's suggestion that I use street parking was not super helpful as the max time is 2 hours. I found a pay lot a block away where I could have parked all day for relatively cheap so that info up front would have been helpful."
