The location is excellent - walking distance to the town centre and dining spots. The reception was very friendly as was the cleaning staff. Our room was upstairs and the stairs were narrow with very poor lighting at night time. Wifi was weak and limited (just enough for our purposes). The interior lighting was limited and weak. I would describe this place more along the lines of a boarding house, rather than the fancy sounding 'lodge'.

Amazing for the price! Super clean and the owners are super lovely! Nice and close to town so super convenient to be able to walk everywhere! It was a bit hot in the room a fan would have been ideal but we just kept the windows open and it seemed to do the trick! Would most definitely stay again!

Great place. Character. Very welcoming and organized. Big room. Everything worked. Quiet. In middle of town, leave car at motel. Put the heater on to await my evening arrival.

Authentieke lodge op een goede locatie

Eigenaresse is afkomstig uit Ierland en heeft een vlotte babbel en is tegelijkertijd informatief Mooie authentieke lodge in Britse stijl. Dichtbij het centrum en nog dichter bij de rivier. Tevens ben je dichtbij highway 6. Gemakkelijk om weer verder te reizen richting Picton of Greymouth.

The property is very good value. The room was very clean and had a generous kitchen. The room was quiet and was assecible to downtown, only a short walk to the cinema. The management was very attentive. We shall return.
