An OK stay
We booked a garden studio and were a bit disappointed to be backing onto the laundry and as such our bathroom smelt a bit fusty. Our outside space was also disappointing as there was a bench perched on uneven slabs so was not level and not really user friendly. The corner bath with shower over was a bit precarious to get into without a proper handrail to grab or curtain around either and the shower head was too low for me being 6ft. Overall we thought the place was a little tired and in need of an upgrade. Great addition of access to the pool.

Ok for 1 night but could be better
Serves it's purpose for a short 1 night stopover. The room is dark and there is very little privacy if the curtains are not drawn since the room was very exposed to the general carpark and staircase. Lack of counter space and hooks in the bathroom. Stains on bathroom wall.

The upgrade to a 1 bedroom apartment was much appreciated and was clean and comfortable. The pool was excellent, but the fridge has a bad vibration which was noisy during the night.

Great location and a generous size.
Very close to the main shopping street, a big supermarket and the rugby ground. Parking was always easy and access to the room was up an external flight of steps and along an outside walkway. There are also ground floor apartments with easier access. The room was particularly generous with plenty of space despite a king size bed. The small separate kitchen had all we needed (microwave, sink, cook top, plates and cutlery) and the separate bathroom was also generous. We didn't use the pool but it looked to be a decent size and sheltered.

Clean, comfy & great location.
Family group of 5 with adult children enjoyed our stay. Clean & comfy with ample space. We were upgraded to a 2 bedroom apartment which was ideal. We were able to check in an hour earlier when we arrived to park the car. It is an easy walk to CBD and lovely walking tracks around the river/creek. Management staff very welcoming & easy to talk to. Close to main roads, but no traffic noise at night. We enjoyed our stay & highly recommend.

Short Stroll to the City
Rooms are set back from main road so noise was not an issue. We found Kings Gate clean and comfortable. Was a short flat walk into the main town. Motel was very good value for money paid.

We arrived late but had organised this a few days earlier. The staff member who greeted me was not very pleasant and told me she tried to call but I had no missed call. She questioned me about pre advising our late arrival. Also I didnt get to pay as I wanted as she had already charged my credit card with a surcharge. Our room was spacious and quiet but the bin was full from the previous guests. Disappointing stay and wouldnt recommend. Sorry

Sorry very confused as there wasn't any trace of correspondence before arrival. This would explain the staff members frustration. It states in the terms & conditions that once a booking becomes none-refundable it may be charged at any time during the period.

We chose this motel because it had a pool. This turned out to be unusable but no-one told us even after I booked an extra night and then met the owner at check-in. It was murky and green and there wasn't even a sign up to apologise. Other gripes were a full stinky bin that hadn't been emptied, a broken fridge, and a dirty duvet cover which had been clearly soiled. When I asked for another duvet a friendly apologetic member of staff gave me what we discovered later that night was a mattress protector. Perhaps the usual cleaner was unavailable as other beds and bathrooms were clean. You can overlook a few things but the pool was a deal-breaker and if I hadn't paid upfront we would have gone elsewhere. Sadly would not recommend.

Thank you for your review Janie, Yes the pool was a little murky due to the filtration system breaking down that night which you where told on arrival and there was a sign on the pool gate! and yet you still decided to book an extra night! In regards to the rubbish bin it was fulled from your car on arrival! The fridge was working fine as the switch for the fridge is beside 2 other switches the fridge switch sometimes get turned off by mistake. The duvet cover only had marks on it from the children jumping on the bed with dirty shoes. Regards Management
