"I was surprise I visited this hotel years ago. But I was not expecting it to be updated They had a pool, jacuzzi and a wonderful breakfast I will be returning."

"Fantastic hotel. Everything was clean , and well maintained. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The hotel shows it age, but they do a great job keeping everything up to date. Breakfast was your traditional continental breakfast, but tasted great and fresh. The pool was warm and I enjoyed that they keep it open until 10pm. I was able to take a quick dip after dinner. The pool is a heated as well."

"Seems like it would be a nice enough place to stay with the family for a vacation getaway right on a lake. However, we were traveling across I-80 and just needed a place to stay overnight. This was a ways off the highway, so it required some extra driving to get there. The room was okay. It's an old motel that has been renovated but still seems a little tired."

"First and foremost Split Rock did not make me aware that we were staying separately from the actual hotel. This may have been a blessing because the hotel seems like its falling apart. "We stayed for the weekend. Had an easy check-in. We had one comfortable king bed, large clean room, nice bathroom. On Saturday we walked around Scranton for a total of 7 miles, so the hot tub was a welcomed amenity. The staff was very polite and professional. Morning continental breakfast was very helpful. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely go back to Sparks by Hilton!"

"J'ai présentement des problèmes car en plus de Expédia ils m'ont chargé eux aussi l'hôtel et j'ai communiqué avec eux et ils disent que je suis resté 2 jours et c'est faux. En arrivant ils m'ont demandé ma carte de crédit en me disant que c'était pour la sécurité en cas que je brise quelque chose mais voilà que expédia m'a chargé $ $111.17 Canadien et eux $142.75 US ce qui donne $200.61 Canadien pour une nuit ce qui fait un total de $311.78 Canadien. "The reviews of this place are incredibly polarizing. Some people think it is the worst place they have ever seen. Others think of it as a twee little time capsule, an example of the pocono mountains in their former glory. The truth is a bit in between, though it is, in cat the worst place I have ever stayed. (And I am a sucker for cheap motels) You can see evidence of its former glory. It seems kinda clean, but it is very run down. Whoever runs this place has done a number of shoddy repairs....

"I stay here at this very ine at least 3, 4 times a month. I travel for work however this trip on 5/30 I only have one issue an I never have issues. No matter if one person has a reservation, always always make sure there is enough face clothes. Wash clothes, cloth to step out the shower an towels. I say that because this time they only gave me one wash cloth.. No hand towels. Was very little tissue on the roll.
