If you are doing any type of exploring in Patagonia, this is the hostel for you. They will store your luggage as long as you are staying there before and after. They have great breakfast, clean rooms and are walking distance from everything.

I wish the water got hotter for showers; not sure if it was the time of day or a particular situation. But my evening shower was only Luke warm. At least there are towel warmers; nice touch,

Good location

We lived in one night then went to Torres del Paine, came back to live in one night again for next day bus towards El Calafate. Staffs were so nice and location is so close to bus terminal.

Hostal America is such a gem. It is immaculate and the staff are so friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet is on the simpler side but filling and generous (breads, meats, cheese, cereal, fresh fruit, yogurt, coffee, juice). We stayed before and after our Patagonian hike and enjoyed our time there immensely.

This has been our favourite place to stay so far. We stayed 2 nights before the W Trek and 2 nights after - they store your bags for free during the trek if you stay with them on your return. The beds are really comfortable, showers are hot and have great water pressure, the radiators and new double glazed windows keep the rooms warm. Good continental breakfast included. Everything was great. Thank you for your hospitality!

We chose Hostal America to stay for 3 nights during our tour to Torres del Paine. We loved the place, The hostal is impeccable, the staff is friendly and accommodating, Beatriz the Manager is an amazing host, making guests to feel like at home.

The hostel was great. Well located near bus station and about 1 very walkable km from center of town. Great shower. Typical breakfast ( eggs, toast, juice, cereal, cake, cheese, meat). Very clean. Helpful staff.

Very new, clean, and well taken care of facility. There is a different type of special care in the hotel that one finds in the very best of family owned businesses. Fantastic breakfast and walking distance to the city center and the port.

Wonderful night after returning late from W hike. Staff was wonderful and helpful. Made a bag of ice for my sore knee. The shower was excellent, the bed comfortable and the room quiet. A taxi was called for us in the am. Breakfast was perfect. Price was reasonable and just a few blocks from bus station. Would highly recommend.

Clean, comfortable, friendly staff

We had a lovely stay here. Beatriz the owner is friendly and the staff is also lovely. The eggs served at breakfast are delicious! I had a medical emergency and together with my wife, we were very fortunate to have the support of the staff to get through it.

Nice little Hostal. A 10 minute walk to the bus station and 15 minutes to the centre of town. Laundromat less than a block away. Nice breakfast. Only problem was that my Visa card wouldn’t work there and so I paid cash.

The family that runs this hostel is super great. They were able to store our luggage, the breakfast was the best of any place we stayed, and they even found a pair of glasses that I left underneath the bed. Super clean and really well done! Great sunny, sitting area to read, and they even let us store some food in the refrigerator

Great clean room. Breakfast was good. However I wish they would refill the breakfast supplies for guests who start breakfast bit later around 8am. Some things like scrambled eggs was running low but wasn’t refilled
