Could have been better with a few minor updates.
It was difficult to find. The location was far from most sight-seeing activities so the bus is required to get anywhere but buses are jammed pack. The building is really old and several flights of stairs. This is a shared apartment. We can hear neighbors talking since the adjoining door is not sealed. Laundry machines were broken but we booked this location hoping to do laundry. Kitchen had no pots or pans and no cleaning soap. The receptionist was really nice and a fridge in the room was a plus.

Dear guest, if you focus on the things you don't like you will only see those things, and you will miss out on the best in life. Of course Naples is not a model of a clean city, but the climate is good and the food fantastic. You are right to get to the B&B there are several steps, but did you notice the architecture of the staircase and the roof vaults? The washing machine is not broken it's disconnected because you have to pay to use it, you only had to ask. As for the shower if you wanted extra cleaning just ask.

Good deal and location excellent for daily trips
This B &B is oasis of quiet in the middle of run down Napoli. It’s very clean. We were here 5 nights with children. It’s conveniently located 3 minutes walk from Porta Nolana train station where you take Circumvesuviana to Herculaneum, Pompei and Sorrento. You can not hear any noise from street and A/C is working very well. WiFi is very fast. Breakfast was perfect for our family- hard boiled eggs, cereal, sweet rolls, Nutella and very good coffee. We were happy with our stay! Other travelers mentioned the area is run down; however there was presence of police and army every day so it felt not as bad. Expensive hotels are 3 minutes walk in Garibaldi but they are in the same area as this B & B. So book with Bonapace so you can save your money! Inside is beautiful and spacious. At least our room for 4 was huge and had fridge in it.

The property initially took us some time to find - only a small plaque next to a gateway shows where it is. Don't be fooled by the rundown appearance of the area as the propery itself is decorated to a high standard. Our family room was clean and comfortable. There was a homely feel and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

The best part of this location was its proximity to the train/metro station. The area was very dingy and run down. One of the worst beds we have slept in. Internet was weak and sporadic. Room did not give the perception of cleanliness. You had to be Houdini to get into the shower. Breakfast was sparse.

Local area is a little bit seedy around the train station and the apartment building doesn’t look like much however inside the b&b is quite cosy. Breakfast is good although a little bit heavy on the sweet stuff and more savoury would be nice. Room was spacious and had s balcony. Very close to porta nolana station for trains to Pompeii and Sorrento.

Great location to train station

Secure hotel in a run-down area. Staff very helpful in arranging early check-in and early breakfast before departure. Room quiet, despite facing street, and was clean with adequate facilities. Very convenient for walking into historic centre of Naples and for local transport links.

we had a very comfortable stay with clean room comfy bed good air con and even a laundry service from the very helpful Sanju. the only downfall is the lack of lift but if your fit its not a problem. thanks for looking after us.

Sixty stairs to room but staff helped with extremely heavy suitcase which was good. Comfortable bed, high pressure shower. Good breakfast, great coffee. Clean and as our room opened into inner courtyard quiet. The position is second to none situated as it is within metres of the circumvesuviana trains to Pompeii and Sorrento and within 100 metres to both the metro line and also Napoli Centrale where we easily caught the train to Rome. We had no wifi in our room (available in foyer) the whole four days we were there due to a glitch .... The area is definitely run down and feels a bit unsecure and uncomfortable. I would recommend to friends providing they knew these pros and cons.

The neighborhood is a,one those that travel magazines warn about. Three local parties also warned us about pickpockets. Aside from this the area is vibrant and full of inexpensive shopping. The hotel was hard to find due to obscure signs but given the neighborhood we felt this was justified.

Great to be near both train stations.
Although located in a questionable neighbourhood the facility itself is great. Once you get past the dirt and grime of the area and up the three flights of stairs, the B & B is a pleasant oasis. The rooms are clean. The area is quiet. There was a nice balcony off our room. The continental breakfast was great. Sanjoo(?) took great care of us. He worked hard and was pleasant to talk to. He recommended a restaurant around the corner called Da Donato and it was excellent. The train to Pompeii is also just around the corner and from Pompeii you can easily get to Vesuvius.

Staff was very helpful when providing tips on how to get best around in Naples and where to go. Breakfast was simple but nice. A croissant per person, an assortment of small bread, butter, honey and jam. 3 kinds of cereals and juice, very nice coffee. Since it was eastern, a typical cake served in Italy for eastern was served as well. Very nice that the staff provided breakfast until everybody had finished so you were not ushered to leave as soon as the official breakfast times ended. On arrival the bathroom was very dirty with urin spots on the floor. Bathroom was moldy, also there were spots in front of the bed and on the sheets (Which we were told originated from ironing). After telling the staff about it, the floor was unfortunately only cleaned roughly, part of the urin spots remained. Towel to cover the urin spots in order to walk properly in the bathroom (the staff is only in the hotel in the morning, we checked out the bathroom in the night of the arrival day) was put up for drying with the other dirty towels on the floor instead of replacing them. Happened, twice, left us without clean towels, were then on the phone told that towels are only changed every three days. After explaining that we did not have any more clean towels, we were told to wait until the next morning as no staff was near the hotel in the evening.

I enjoyed my stay here and will stay again next time I am in Naples. I thought the owner was very helpful. Make sure you schedule your checkin time ahead with the owner as it is a small b and b. It may not be a big hotel (which was nice), but once inside I found a very clean, bright, spacious and quiet room. Good breakfast, I could leave luggage there after check out time. Its a good deal.

Excellent Staff
Excellent place with a very friendly and helpful staff. I woud definately stay here again if I return to Naples. Clean room with very good internet access and fresh breakfast every morning. Very close (5 min.) walk from train station and the end of Giribaldi Plaza but don't let the exterior fool you (it is Naples after all) the inside is clean and comfortable.

We came back to this B&B after staying 5 years ago and it was exactly the same - in a good way! Staff are friendly, rooms are comfortable and clean and it is a quick walk from the main train station. Breakfast is sufficient - warm croissant, coffee, juice, cereal, bread. WiFi is good from the rooms. The Metro stop makes it easy to get to the town centre if you don't want to walk. Note that you must walk up stairs to the B&B. Overall a lovely place to stay for a couple of nights, we would definitely return. Good value budget option.

Fresh Napoli Orange Juice each morning.
We loved the stay. Bonapace Porta Nolana B & B in Naples was a 3 minute walk from the main train station and only a 2 minute walk from the Circumvesuviana "Pompeii" train. The owner was very kind to us. The daily breakfast was great! Loved the fresh Napoli orange juice and coffee. Our room had a balcony window with a great metropolitan view of Corso Giuseppe Garibaldi. Garibaldi Square was a 2 minute walk. The area had a great cafe right across the street (Corso Giuseppe Garibaldi, 64) with fantastic pizza. A local treat is the "Sfogliatella" pastry.

Nice place close to the train station. But hard to find the first time. Gate is difficult to open with the key. Takes some practice. And breakfast was ok but not enoughand not much of a selection. You get 1 croissant per person. And 1 coffee and some small dinner rolls with either nutella or jam from the small packets I would go there again but not for the same price.

Fantastic quality hotel, lovely and helpful staff
We arrived late at night and as other customers say the area is a bit dodgy. However, it's very convenient to be so close to train and bus station. The owner had come out on the street to look for us and meet us, which was incredibly lovely. The room was wonderful for the price, really comfy bed. Bathroom was a bit old and run down, but definitely not too bad. Would stay again and recommend!

Quite difficult to find...need to look up as walking down street. Surrounding area was quite off putting and we felt slightly intimidated at first. Host very welcoming and helpful and interior in reasonable and clean condition. No lift and steps quite a challenge with bags.

Nice but..
Close to the train station but difficult to find. If you can't climb stairs this is not for you.The area is a little scary at first and I would not go back to the hotel too late in the night. The staff was very helpful specially the staff who was from Sri Lanka. He was very helpful.

Hidden gem!
This wonderful b&b took care of my husband and I on our recent trip through Naples. The owner gave us excellent advice on dinner locations and helped us locate all of the train stations and ferry locations for our day trips during our stay. Very friendly and courteous, I wouldn't mind staying here again. Beware though- it is in a very dirty, questionable neighborhood so be prepared for that.

Charming B & B near Naples near main train station
It is within walking distance from Napoli centrale, so we arrived with no problem., only thing is there is no sign outside the door so I am sharing a couple of pictures for everybody to recognize the place easily. Mr. Giuseppe was very nice and he spoke very good English. There's no elevator but he helped us with our bags. The place is very well kept, nice and clean. We stayed in a quadruple room and all four beds were very comfortable. Shower size good. From our window we could see the main street below and catch the way of life on Neapolitans. It is also within walking distance from the Circumvesuviana train station which you are going to need if going to Pompeii, Sorrento, etc. There's another gentleman that runs the place (Sanju), who's also very nice. Breakfast was delicious! I went with my three kids and stayed a couple of nights. Do not be fooled by the look outside; it is a really nice place to stay. We will most definitely come back to this B & B in the future.

Nice B&B and great costumer service
I stayed at Bonapace Porta Nolana B&B for 2 nights on 13 & 14 June 2013.The B&B was very easy to find & close to the Naples airport shuttle stop near the main train station. The room and bed were comfortable, and surprisingly quiet considering the location.The bathroom was small but adequate. When I came back the 1st night, my room was too hot so I switched on the air con for a bit to cool it down. But then I couldn’t turn it off! I tried everything, even changed the batteries in the remote - without any luck.The room was very cold and I could not sleep in it, so despite being 1am I resolved to call the mobile number I had been given. At first, I thought we were not going to come to a solution, but thankfully, there were a couple of rooms free in the B&B, and keys were accessible, so I was able to spend the night in another room. The next morning, I was greeted with a very nice breakfast with homemade jams. The person present showed me that the remote control for the air con was now - mysteriously - working again. But he was very nice about it. The day I left, I was able to leave my luggage and pick it up when I needed and was given an access key for front doors in case nobody was in. I would definitely stay there again if I come to Naples. The neighbourhood in Porta Nolana and Piazza Garibaldi is a bit scruffy, but frankly, as a woman travelling on my own and coming back very late to the B&B at night, I was not troubled at anytime.

Small comfy hotel with great service
Everything about this hotel was fine though the local neighbourhood certainly has an "edgy" character. The owners and housekeeper are very nice and helpful. The hotel is well located in terms of its proximity to Napoli Centrale Station as well as the Circumvesuvio railway. We would certainly stay there again.

Great lil b&B in heart of Naples!
This b&b was very close to train station and convenient for walking to the sites of Naples. The room was spacious and very clean. The owner was so helpful and provided attention to detail which was so nice to have at the end of my trip!

POURRI
Entrer dans un hall sale, le gite se trouve au troisième étage d'un bâtiment vétuste. Le gérant empoche la taxe de séjour sans fournir un justificatif. Le petit déjeuner reste très moyen avec jus de fruit chaud, viennoiserie achetée dans une épicerie du coin juste sortie du paquet ( elles sont passées au micro onde pour les ramollir un peu) . Je déconseille amplement cet hébergement....j' oubliai une clim réglée a 16° la chambre au dessus des 25 au bout de 6 heures de fonctionnement.. Merci à hôtels.com de faire abstraction de faire les photos de la cour intérieure. Que du plaisir pour les yeux sur les gravats et le vis à vis.

Sometimes it is enough to be less prejudiced and ask the staff for information and / or clarifications. The B&B is in a historic building that would certainly need maintenance, but unfortunately this does not depend only on us. We are on the second floor, not the third. The air conditioning in your room works great, you just need to select the remote control on the right position and not on ventilation, just ask the staff we would have helped you immediately. I'm sorry that you were disappointed by the breakfast, but I also remember that you always came to the breakfast room at 10.30 (breakfast ends at 10.00) and the waiter tried to serve you better with what was left over. Finally, the rubble that you saw in the courtyard, is only the material resulting from the renovation of an apartment in the building.
