"Very convenient to T2 if stuck in Manchester Airport. Basic room. Smallish and very firm double bed. Had tea making facilities in room. Dispensary machine for sandwiches downstairs needs improvement as door was sticking making us all look like fools trying to operate it."

"Very helpful young lady at the desk Immediately changed my room when I reported the air con was not working. the young lady at the bar who recommended food for me at the end of a long day when I was very hungry and the guy who delivered it to my table outside . All very very well done. The young ones can get a bad rap but these guys were a great team ! Thankyou !"

"The hotel is in the middle of center city about an 18 minute walk (uphill) from the train station. It's a grand old hotel with incredibly helpful and professional staff. The hallways might need a refresh sometime soon but are spacious and well maintained. Our room was also spacious with a true king size bed and fresh, crisp linens. There were two closets and a full size desk. The bathroom was also great size but alas has very old taps (separate hot and cold water) which we had a very difficult time turning on and off (they need to be repaired/replaced). The bathtub (large) had a rain shower but no hand held sprayer. The drain would not hold water in the tub. Breakfast is included with a nice offering of coffee/teas, cereals, porridge, granola, yogurt and breads but can also be upgraded to egg offerings for a very reasonable cost. The staff at the hotel are just wonderful - helpful, pleasant, patient and very professional. Daily housekeeping is top notch. I would definitely return but do consider a taxi if you're walking to/from the train station with luggae."

"Brilliant place to stay with everything you could want. Staff lovely and very helpful. Bar and restaurant very nice. Room was lovely and clean and although we'd booked a small room it had everything you needed. Only downside was the bedroom was VERY hot even with the fan on all night. Will definitely stay again"
