Hotels near Nance Museum

"I have stayed at this place multiple times with no issues but this time my stay wasn't great. We have always been on the 1st floor and the rooms were decent and clean. This time I was put on the 3rd floor and the room was awful. The couch had stains, the room obviously hasn't been dusted in a while, there was a dead bug in the shower, the shower didn't drain well and the balcony door was taped with black tape and had to be opened using a lot of force. It was so loud, there was little kids running up and down the hallway and knocking on doors after 10. It was just a lot going on. Also, the trash outdoors is always running over and upon us leaving this morning someone decided to leave trash right in the middle of the hotel when you enter through the side doors. Maybe because the trash can was overflowing but that's not an excuse. With that being said I gave it 3 stars based on previous stays and the fact that the bed is comfy and clean and they had hot water. They also have a nice sitting area outside. I never go to breakfast though so I can't rate that. "

"My opinion is that this is a hotel with great bones. It is structurally really cool, and it is in a great location for walking to Royals or Chiefs games. The staff were very friendly. But, my room was not clean. Stains on the furniture, hair on my pillow. The TV didnt really work well. Overall, I feel like this is a great building being run by management that is cutting corners. They could do better. "

"Convenient to the Royals and Chiefs stadiums. Rooms and hotel are in need of updating. "

"My only complaint was with Expedia. Paid for a king room, but when we checked in the desk said they only had queen rooms. Was told we would receive a refund as the room was slightly less, but never did."

"The property is old but my room was clean and smelled good. The bed isn't comfy but bring a pillow and it's ok. The refrigerator and microwave were like new and worked great. Laundry was super convenient & expensive "

"Breakfast was good, the hotel room was clean although the tub looked like it was held together with caulk. The location is very convenient with stores and restaurants very close by. Nice quiet stay."

"I didn’t like that there was construction going on, on the property itself. But that being said, the completed part of the property was really nice. I visited during the early spring so the pool was closed. But it looked really nice. No chairs to sit around it though. Now, for the bad news! I’ll say this the staff was polite and all but, the first room they gave me already had someone in it. Luckily, they weren’t in the room at the time cause that would’ve been a situation I wouldn’t know how to settle down!!!"
