Lawrence and the dining crew knew all our names, preferences and helped us with whatever we needed. "The manager of the Transit Hotel refused to honor my reservation even though I showed him the confirmation and receipt that Experdia sent to my email account. He did not refund the payment, either. Instead, he sent me into the streets of Isiolo, carrying my luggage, to find another hotel."

"Isiolo is a small town, 40,000 people. There are not a lot of accomodations. One good thing about the hotel is the fact that it has an elevator and limited parking. It is clean. The staff are very friendly, but probably Kenyans are gentle in general. The hot water did not always work. The restaurant offering are limited, even for a small town."

"This is such an amazing location, and the staff are amazing! You will absolutely see animals! We would wake up to elephants and reticulated giraffes crossing right in front of our site. Monkeys will hang out on your patio and baboons are constantly nearby. We made the mistake of not locking the zipper (absolutely on us! they tell you to do so multiple times) and had some monkeys enter and wreck havoc! However, staff dealt with it quickly and were super nice about it! Don't just close the zipper- the monkeys know how to open it and it needs to be locked down. It's got a lush and green look to it too so it's a small reprieve from the hot Samburu summer. Something that wasn't made clear was that they do tend to have times when they turn off the power to so prepare yourself. The food is nice and was always different. We had a lovely time and will recommend it to anyone."
