"The resort is set back from a busy road in a fabulous nature setting. Beware that 20 out of the 26 "rooms" are tents and only 6 are solid built cottages. If you want a glamping style close to nature experience then the tents are fabulous. If you want to have more privacy go for the cottages, which are very large and beautiful. Staff was extremely helpful. As we were few people breakfast and dinner options were limited but very tasty. Excellent option for a luxury stay in thw dambulla triangle."

"When I arrived at the property, despite me canceling my previous reservation, they were confused as they saw two reservations, and even after me showing that I had canceled it, they still gave me a hard time. They should have better communication with the booking agency so that this does not happen to someone else in future. The room was OK but nothing spectacular. Definitely not a five star hotel by any means ."

"Séjour d une nuit très agréable, avec un très bon petit déjeuner pour le SL. La piscine au milieu des arbres est très sympa, surtout pr les enfants… chambre au top propre et bien aménagé. Bonne ambiance lounge le soir même si la musique un peu forte. À améliorer : le Check in où il n y avait personne à l arrivée, et comme notre chambre était pas prete, nous avons dû revenir et toujours personne donc un peu d attente. This is an oasis and a fantastic place to stay during your visit to Sigiriya. Check out time is 12:00, which is perfect for an early morning climb in Sigiriya with a delicious breakfast and swim in the pool to relax before moving on."

"Pleasant stay at Pothana Village, the highlight was definitely the pool and staff. The room was decent, but the bathroom could do with some upgrades. There was a gecko in the room and a couple of bugs, but given the properties location it’s to be expected. I think other reviews have been abit overly critical of this, but the location is right by a lake. Loved watching the peacocks roaming around, some monkeys and all of the friendly dogs. Staff were really friendly and accommodating, always smiling and hospitable."
