The staff (especially Ibrahim in the main restaurant) were so attentive to not just us, but everyone! Ibrahim ensured we had a fantastic dining experience and even was great at entertaining our daughter. The sun villa was standard and very dated, so we decided to upgrade to beach pool villa. We just wish we had done it sooner as it was gorgeous! The only downside is that the hotel isn't really designed for babies: the cot we had was quite dangerous as our daughter bumped her head on the wood sticling out inside it, then the replacement we had the mattress didn't fit the cot properly as it was too small which is a suffocation hazard, and there were only 3 baby bike seats on the whole island so we could only use the bikes on the last day which was a shame. Would definitely return but only when our daughter is older 😊

The activities were amazing, water sports, tours e.g. whale shark and snorkelling and diving centre. The sports - squash, tennis, badmington etc, jacuzzi and cold water pool and the spa..........the facitilies are world class and our room was spectaucluar - our own pool and beach access - thank you. The buffet was great with a good choice and we enjoyed a sunset drink each evening on the beach or the pier.

The room needed to be updated but was very clean and efficient. The island is terrific with more great beaches than most islands. The Manta Rays swimming around the Italian restaurant was fantastic. We were pleased with the food and drinks on the All-inclusive Plan. The resort lived up to all our expectations and more. The snorkelling here was not up to our previous Maldives resorts but the beaches were better. The staff was also terrific, every single one.

Villa park - sun island was a lovely resort! The staff really made it perfect. Mannan the buggy driver was excellent. Showed us around the whole island, recommended things to see and do! Went above and beyond. My husband developed a headache and Mannan went out of his way to bring us paracetamol to our room, perfect service! Rakesh the chef in the southern star restaurant was lovely. Always happy to help and make something fresh, breakfast lunch and dinner - perfect food, conversation and service every time! All the staff we encountered were happy and friendly. Only thing I would mention - is the island has a lot to offer! If you don’t hear from your host - make sure you request the daily itinerary.

The resort is amazing. We loved our 10 days there. There is only one Main thing that Must be specified when people book. Travellers who book "Water Villa" have access to a much better restaurant. The problem is that the restaurant where all the others have access have a bad quality. We asked for an upgrade to this restaurant after trying it for the first time and we were allowed free upgrade. The thing is our room was more expensive than water Villa so it didn't make much sense that we didn't have access to this restaurant. Nothing else to add, the rest is amazing, wildness is great, staff is great. Amazing experience.

The moment you step onto this island, you're enveloped by its natural beauty - the lush vegetation, the white sandy beaches, and those crystal-clear waters that you've only seen in pictures until now. The accommodation was phenomenal; we stayed in one of the Villas with a private pool, and it felt like our own little slice of paradise. The design was both elegant and comfortable, blending seamlessly with the environment. The sunset views from the Sunset Water Villas we saw were breathtaking, and we are definitely considering them for our next visit. Dining here was a culinary journey. From savouring traditional Maldivian dishes at the local restaurants to the exquisite Thai restaurant , every meal felt special. However, we did notice that sometimes the buffet could use a bit more variety to keep the excitement of the palate alive. The staff were incredibly warm and attentive, making our stay genuinely enjoyable. They had this perfect balance of being there when you needed them but also giving you the space to enjoy your solitude. Overall, Villa Park Sun Island is a dream destination. It's got everything you could want for a Maldivian escape with just a little room for enhancement in the dining experience and island navigation. We are already planning our return!

A fantastic intro to the Maldives. The resort took care of everything for our transfers which would have been daunting overwise but they met you at the arrivals area and made sure it was smooth on to the smaller plane - minibus - boat and on return as well. The staff were very attentive and professional, always checking if we were ok but not in a pressured way. The rooms were cleaned to a great standard and any requests for the minibar were dealt with swiftly. Staff remembered our drinks orders for breakfast and dinner which was a nice touch. The snorkelling around the Island was amazing, we saw a turtle, manta rays, many sharks, stingrays and 1000's of fish. The land wildlife was interesting as well, we saw fruit bats and a Indian Flying Fox! The facilities (watersports, gym, sports) were staffed well and great condition. There was always something going on in the evening (may have been due to the Xmas period) from karaoke, live band, violinist, saxophone, singers and an epic Xmas Eve party with proper outdoor festival staging, lighting and music rig. The food was fantastic, so many options and they were happy to make something if you wanted something different. The chef was going to make a special curry for us but due to other restaurant bookings we missed out. We had a meal at the Italian restaurant overlooking the water were the Manta Rays were, the food was exceptional. We also tried the Tepenyaki place on the beach, again, great food and service.

Great gateaway!

Villa Park Sun Island was a refreshing experience. My husband and I had a lovely honeymoon with various experiences offered. There were water activities, spa services, and activities such as badminton, paddle ball, table tennis, billiards, etc. We were full board so breakfast, lunch, and dinner were included at certain times. Employees were extremely friendly and accommodating. Some suggestions I would recommend are adding bells to the bikes they offer to rent. It becomes difficult to navigate on the path when people, carts, and other bikes are all sharing the road. I would also suggest illuminating the signs with the room numbers. At night, the island is peaceful and lite with dim lights, however, it becomes hard to find the rooms without a flashlight. Another suggestion would be telling your room number at the dining hall so no confusions happen. The day of checkout my husband and I did not know lunch wasn't included. Although the staff was very friendly to remove any charge, we should have been informed at check in that it would not be included. We were only told a checkout time and what time to be at the jetty to leave via boat. Also, the food became a little repetitive after the first few days. Overall, great trip! 4/5

My stay had many positive aspects, but unfortunately also one very troubling incident. The service from Anju and Abishek at the restaurants was exceptional—professional, kind, and always attentive. Anju, especially, truly stood out with her warmth and dedication. If I could rate the staff alone, they would absolutely deserve five stars. The issue occurred at reception upon our arrival. We were charged an amount for the domestic flight, transfers, and taxes that did not match the expected total based on the official exchange rate of that day. We paid in cash and, unlike all other payments during our stay, we were not given any receipt. We only realized the inconsistency once back home. This lack of transparency was extremely disappointing and left us with a very negative impression, especially considering how well everything else at the resort is managed. Aside from this, the resort itself is beautiful and well maintained: clean facilities, a beach that is cared for daily, excellent water villas, clear water, and varied, high-quality food. The majority of the staff was friendly and professional. Would I return? I’m not sure. The resort has many strengths, but this incident at reception affected our overall experience. The five stars I give are exclusively for Anju, Abishek, and the staff members who clearly work with honesty and dedication.

Vani coffee shop was so great And all the staff here was absolutely fantastic! The beach was very clean and the island is big so it seems very private. My husband and I had the perfect honeymoon here, I highly recommend it!
