Hotel staff didn’t mention the Yamato package pick up time was by 3pm when I left my suits case at check out time and told her that I would come back and send the package around 3pm. I had to find Yamato near hotel and ship it out from there. If I knew there was a deadline for the day, I would come back earlier to ship the suits case from the hotel.

Convenient location right next to the train station and lots of dining options. The hotel is very clean throughout the facilities. Room is well supplied and comfortable. I will definitely stay again and highly recommend it.

I traveled with my 16 year old son and we loved the JR Gate. We arrived at 11:00 pm after a day of international travel. The hotel was easy to find by following signs in the train station. I was tipped off by previous reviews that the lobby is on the 15th floor, however, signs in English were straightforward and we might have found it anyway. The room was bright and clean. The bathroom was spacious. We come from a low-flow town and powerful water pressure in the shower was the height of luxury. Mattresses were firm and fresh. There was just enough padding for comfort. Large twin beds are equivalent to American doubles. If you need space to sleep, don’t think about sharing. The breakfast buffet had a wide slection for Japanese and Westerners. We would definitely stay here again.

First time to stay at JR Gate Hotel. Very accessible to the JR train lines and shopping. Went to the Ghibli Park from here and it was easy to connect to the local train system from this area of Nagoya. Excellent breakfast package purchased with room. Would come here again. Modern, clean, rooms.

Very nice hotel that is conveniently located next to Nagoya Station. Room was spacious and clean. Friendly staff and great amenities. Overall a good place to stay for exploring the city.

The location is good and convenient. Only couple minutes to the train stations. Downside is the staffs in the hotel are not quite friendly, limited smile and their English is poor. Hard to communicate and not much willing to help. I was asking if the concierge or front desk would help me to call and book a shuttle bus from the other onsen hotel in Gero but the staff told me to call myself. It was a very bad experience and I felt like I was begging them to help. Won't recommend to anyone if they need good quality accommodation.

Trip was delayed 3 months due to open heart surgery. Purpose of trip was to try Nagoya tebasaki at Yamachon, Fruibo, and Torikai. Hotel had good location next to Nagoya Station. All restaurants were just outside Nagoya Station. Good trip. Good hotel.

This location can not be beat. So convenient! We had a corner suit with a view. The view is also fantastic! The only slight downside is the room is a bit small after a 3rd bed is added.

We love this hotel! There can not be a more convenient place to stay in Nagoya, closer to all the amenities and dining and shopping options! The staff was super nice and was very helpful. This is definitely where we would stay if we visit Nagoya again!

Decent but service could be better
Hotel was great that it is just beside Nagoya station which is convenient to get around places. Amenities were quite well provided. Only disappointed that the check-out time is 11am and when requested for just an hour extension to 12pm, it was rejected and the staff responded that it was only possible if to pay the extenstion fees of approximate SGD 100. The hotel should be more lenient for such requests from time to time
