The property was handy being centrally located. Did not like the showers which were cold and dribbled water. Also got electric shocks from the appliances. The staff were excellent and friendly.

Good enough.
The hotel is quite a way out of Nadi town. There is a bus, but it is infrequent, so a taxi is necessary. There are shops and restaurants within walking distance, as is the beach which is small but nice enough. The hotel itself is tired and in need of some repair. If you want luxury, this is not the place for you, but it was certainly not bad, and we had a pleasant stay. We enjoyed the balcony and swimming pool. The noise of planes (it is very close to the airport runway) could be a problem, but we found it quite exciting to see them flying in so close. Breakfast was basic fare - toast, porridge, beans, but the staff were friendly and we had plenty to eat. We didn't eat any other meals at the hotel, so can't comment on the dishes or service. All in all it was a good stay, though perhaps a bit overpriced for what was actually offered.

We paid for 2 rooms. Squeezed to 1 room. No AC in the kids section. Was like a storage room . Broken couch broken bed against wall. Hardly slept. Wouldn't give refund for the second room when asked. Nothing like photos on web site. Breakfast was good. Wifi good Close to town

The whole experience was completly false to what was advertised. We were greeted with cocroaches and no towel whilst being given a candle as light and power was not promised. 1 night was 1night too long in Downtown Hotel Nadi

Very conveniently located
Staff are nice. Cleaners start very early - about 6.30am. Centralised hot water is supposed to be switched on between 5am to 11am and 5pm to 11pm depending on the weather; I've had to get them switched on at 6,30pm on several occasions. As the bathroom didn't have any windows, the bathroom exhaust needs to be fixed to extract steam and avoid mould and also prevent the chipboard shelving from going cacky from moisture swelling. Bath towel was clean but had holes and sheets were threadbare. Expect the odd cockroach to appear in the room. Breakfast consists of sliced bread which the guest can toast themselves, a dob of margarine and a dob of jam, coffee & tea and milk; a juice of some type (didn't look like from natural oranges) and (this time) unripe green bananas. I found the nightly tariff very high for what was offered; probably due to the lack of competition as it is the only offering in Nadi cbd. Scheduled drop off time to the airport has been changed from 1pm to 2pm, even though all correspondence states 1pm. Because this new time didn't work for me, the owner personally took me to the bus station and provided the transport fare to the airport.

Very convenient
Pick up from the airport is prompt and very good with timing. The staff was very helpful and friendly, and the location is very central in Nadi town. Initially I was allocated room 214 which is located directly above the main staircase and whose window opens to that inside staircase. The bathroom had no windows.The noise from the footsteps, conversations, office conversation etc is magnified and echos up and in. The room also smelled like a blocked drain. After expressing my concerns, the helpful staff moved me to a more pleasant room. I would describe the general accommodation as - Chunking Mansions in 1990s condition. The definition of "Deluxe", "Superior" etc, is very imaginative. Hot water is supposed to be switched on between 5am to 11am and 5pm to 11pm depending on the weather. Bath towel was clean but had holes and sheets were threadbare. Expect the odd cockroach to pay you a visit. You have advised the hotel that you stayed at Nadi Downtown Hotel several years ago and lot of changes has been made to accommodate guest comfortably with our rooms been upgraded with better facilities and amenities. You should have advised our reception if you had any linens which had holes and sheets were threadbare. Our staff would have changed immediately without any hesitation. We have only light breakfast with the room rate and there is always options available for you to upgrade your breakfast with an extra cost. .Our team at Nadi Downtown hotel is hard working, loyal and very dedicated at work and ensures all guest are happy, comfortable and be part as family of Nadi Downtown hotel and not as a guest. Our observation is that you have been always writing negative feedback online and you never advise reception or hotel manager for any inconvenienced cased during your stay. However you still love to stay at Nadi Downtown Hotel whenever you visit Nadi. We are very sorry if we didn't meet your expectations, however there are other hotels outside Nadi Town to meet your expectation .

It was convenient to shopping, the tour groups picked me up at this location, and the continental breakfast was sufficient. Hot showers and free transportation to the airport were not necessarily convenient as far as times available. WiFi was only available in the lobby also not convenient. Value for money and convenient for short stay.

Good, but not for everyone
If you’re looking for a modern resort hotel then look elsewhere, but if you’re after a basic bed for a night with a clean room (even if decor is dated) for a good price, then look no further!

The room was classified as “ Delux” but it didn’t have the basic things. The room was dirty, the bed didn’t have a mattress cover, just a white sheet on the bed which was smelly. There was no cupboard or drawer for clothes, no ironing board available when we requested for one, the bathroom didn’t have any soap holder, there was no hook to even hang your towel whilst having shower. Overall the accommodation I was pathetic. For the same price we stayed in Tokatoka Resort and that place was fantastic. If there is any doubts about my comments, please go and check out “Room 216”

Good for the price
You get what you pay for. This is definitely not a 5-star resort, but it did the job for a one night while waiting for my trip back home after 10 days in Honiara. The place needs improvements, but for the cost, you can't really ask for more. Something it did surprised me was that, opposed to what many comments mentioned, the wi-fi was great, with some minor disruptions, even in my room in the third floor. I would not venture to go out at night in the vicinity, but during the day you are right in town, which allowed me to do some shopping before going to the airport. To my surprise, I was greeted by a driver at the airport without even contacting the hotel. the shuttle was free and I was taken back to the airport the next day for FJ$20 (about USD$10) in a matter of minutes. Not a place for vacations, but good for what I needed and higher standard compared with other places that I have been in the South Pacific.

Worst hotel ever stayed
Hotel does have elevator had to carry our own bags to 3rd floor woke up 3 am went to have shower no water they did not inform us about water closure in nadi town they were informed about it 1 month ago towel were old and mostly no help from the staffs at all so please don’t think about spending a night there ,they need to improve a lot

Positives: the staff were helpful; catch a taxi easily; close to buses; free airport shuttle; free breakfast not bad if you like toast and fruit (i enjoyed it); fridge in room. Negatives: the room smelled a bit; the shower head was in need of repair; only 2 fuzzy channels on tiny TV; rules a bit excessive; area didn't appear very safe, but not horrible. This place should be ok for a backpacker

I where discussed i don't know how you can represent this property .The staff on check in were rude,Got to room floor dirty and full of cracks,no milk or coffee,NO HOT WATER. shower water runs under shower door into the main room,asked to be taken to airport the next morning they where going to charge $50.00 so went down the rood and got a taxi for $15.00. I would like my money back it was so bad
