Worst hotel in Fiji!! 1. Check in- My room was “upgraded” and was asked to go to another hotel (5 minutes drive). I said I don’t want your upgrade but was told that this hotel is full! They also demanded 200 FJD in cash at the time of checkin, to which I said take my credit card details but they forced me to give them cash or no check in. 2. Room- The room was ok but really noisy in the night and I woke up many times by chatter outside. I think the glass windows are too thin so that you hear the smallest noise from outside. The doors in the shower cubicle wouldn’t close and there was no place to put shampoo in the cubicle (seemed broken). 3. Service - Expect no service. When I came back on the second day evening after my trip, I saw the room was not serviced. I called reception and was told that unless you ask at reception or push some button, service is not done. I was not given this information during check in at all. In any case I asked for room to be cleaned but no one came even after 2 hours. I went to the reception again and was told “sorry” and that it would be done soon. 4. AC leak - On 2nd day, AC started leaking and my bed was all wet. When I complained, I was told “Sorry but all rooms are full and they can’t do anything about it”. When I told them how am I supposed to sleep on the wet bed, they made the same excuse. Someone did come but I was made to wait outside and fight the mosquitoes while AC was being repaired til from 7 PM to 11 PM.

We needed something close to the airport for two nights and this fit the bill. The airport is very close, but is about a 15 minutes drive and you can hear departing aircraft, which didn’t bother us but may be a problem for some. It’s situated right on the beach, this was a fantastic way to wake up to the ocean every morning. The hotel is older and the pool’s weren’t functioning when we were there, but the rooms were clean, beds were comfortable and we had everything we needed, although a microwave would have been handy. The five stars is definitely thanks to the amazing staff. Everyone was so kind and helpful. They gave us a place to sit and rest, accommodating our early arrival the best they could. Annie at the front desk was extremely helpful in providing information and arranging personal transportation to sites that was reasonably priced. The wait staff at the restaurant were very pleasant, especially Josh. The cook, Mohammed, served us some fantastic meals.

It was close to a number of restaurants. The hotel restaurant was good. Staff was nice and friendly. Our TV did not work, our microwave did not work, our wifi hotspot worked for half a day and stopped working.

This review is for the hotel Bulabard apartment that is at a separate location from the hotel. The apartment itself was very spacious. However, there was standing water in front of the entrance which is hazardous as one might slip and fall right next to the pool. Also, water from the shower were seeping and flowing into the whole bathroom.

Second visit here but probably last one. Place looking very tired and neglected which is such a shame as it’s a great location. Needs upgrading with new clean furniture, a lick of paint, linen, towels etc. Needs TLC from mangement and staff

When we first arrived and checked into the hotel, we were told wifi was currently unavailable and towels would not be in oir room until 5. 5 came and went and still there was no wifi or towels. The pool in the aerea we stayed in appeared as if it had not been skimmed in days if not weeks. The washing machine on site broke and leaked water throughout the room, once maintanience came in to fix the problem with the machine he said he'd return that night he did not. Only once we complained did someone again come down, wifi was unavailable on multiple days and especialy at night. Making sure we had to take time out of our vacation to try get someone to look into the listed issues. The reatraunt was subpar and the service took thier time. For our issues we were comped a free meal during which they forgot to process one of our meals entirely. Overall would strongly not recommend

Customer service was really good . Almost everyone attended to our needs and we were all very pleased with the service we got . Also thanks to chef Mohammad for the lovely food and agreeing to make us breakfast even when it was past breakfast time. I would definitely come back for another stay.

Enjoyed a weeks stay at bulabard. Staff and location was great. Hotel needs a bit of updating and some paint but is great value for what you pay. Restaurant and chef Mohamed serve up great meals for a good price. Plenty of other bars and restaurants around which makes for lots of options. Reception staff booked all our excursions and our room was cleaned everyday. Enjoyable stay on the beach

Very quiet at night. Room was VERY COMFORTABLE with a great shower. The best part though was the great reception from the porter to the reception desk. Ane and Mele stood out. As well as John. However, every member of the staff here has been so friendly, helpful, and welcoming.

Rooms are clean and tidy , bathrooms are ok could use a fan extractor , but water pressure is mint in room 101 , I've stayed here before in other rooms where the water pressure is average, staff there are lovely and friendly, ceiling in the room could use a revamp, downstairs outside area is nice, be aware that music is loud and can hear it from your room but if you've had a long day of swimming , sunbathing or traveling you honestly won't notice, there are adding a lot more hotels to the area so be aware there is a lot of construction work happening further down the road, you can restaurant hop on wailoaloa strip, and further up the road there are more restaurants and a liqour store , I feel like wailoaloa is a bougee on a budget type area .

The entire staff was amazing and made us feel welcome especially Varsity. The food is great shout out to Muhammad for cooking us great food along with the rest of the kitchen staff. The backyard beach is wonderful and easily accessible. There was also an evening of entertainment arranged by the hotel during our stay which was a fun time.

Booked for two nights at Hotel BulaBard but left after the first night due to bed bugs! The staff were very friendly, empathetic and did genuinely try as best they could to help. They moved us into a different room when we alerted them to the bed bugs, and understood when we said we didn’t want to stay the second night and offered us a complimentary breakfast, as well as a refund for the second night. After a bit of back and forth with Expedia (which may have been more Expedia than the hotel, I’m not sure) we did get the refund through without issue. Pros: - Staff were great, very friendly and tried their best to help. - Really good food! - Great evening entertainment in the restaurant. Cons: - Bed bugs!! - WiFi was out when we arrived till the next morning - Non-existent water pressure in the first room (couldn’t shower) - Pool looked gross and wasn’t in use. - generally pretty unclean; dirty towels, stains and marks on the ceiling etc So whilst we did unfortunately have to leave early due to the uncleanliness and bed bugs, they at least tried their best to help and rectified the situation where they could.

The area was extremely noisy until 11 pm. Hotels in the vicinity should implement a rule to cease playing music by 8 pm every day, allowing guests to relax and fully enjoy their vacation.

We didn’t realize that this is a beach club hotel. Our room looked out onto the club and it was comical at how loud the music was in our room. It was so loud we couldn’t even talk to each other and sleeping was impossible without headphones with white noise.

The room booked being the family room which sleeps 8 was so bad! It was smelly, terrible lights and the bathroom was very run down. It had glass smashing outside the window and not very suitable for our stay. It was more backpackers than hotel. We asked to be changed and the staff immediately moved us to a nearby apartment which was much better albeit still a bit rundown and needing some repairs. The curtains were like shower curtains which were odd. Beds were comfy enough, wifi was patchy. The restaurant area is really nice with a nice view and sea breeze- good for a few cocktails. The food was ok but they did put chilli in the kids fish n chips. Staff were very sweet and helpful there. It’s right up agains a few hotels all together. Overall I would say the accommodation is ok so long as you get the right room and don’t mind accom needing maintenance.
