"1.5/5 stars It was the worst hotel I think I ever stayed in lol. Whatever renderings they have on the website— ignore. Look at photos on Google Maps. The moment I pulled in, they were having the 4 spots they call a parking lot resurfaced so I had to park in the middle of the driveway & go get a key to let me into the parking garage. It’s the creepiest parking garage you’ll ever experience and there was no other cars so I assume I was the only person staying at this hotel. The front desk manager wasn’t too helpful either, not very friendly. Luckily I only had to spend a couple hours to get ready and then go to dinner, and then got home late and went to bed and woke up and got ready and checked out… so total time was roughly 4 hours total in the hotel, but that was enough. The room smelled funny, there was makeup on the wall, sticky residue on the nightstand. The air-conditioning worked great and I distracted myself from the abysmal accommodations by watching a movie. TV & AC were the ONLY positives. Traffic noise is pretty loud from Lincoln Boulevard, but that was the least of the worries. Everything from the toilet handle almost breaking off, to stains on the shower curtain and holes in the blanket made me feel like 1.5/5 stars is being generous. Pay an extra $50 more & go stay at a chain hotel or next door… oof."

"What an absolute gem in Venice! We love The Kinney - rooms are clean and spacious, great facilities to suit families or couples, friendly team who always greet you with a smile, and awesome location if you want more of a ‘local’ feeling neighborhood. Check out the shops along Abbot Kinney Blvd, great local shopping, coffee and generally a cool vibe. Can’t wait to come back!!"

"Unsatisfactory stay in many ways. Hot water was inconsistent. Shower would turn from hot to ice cold multiple times during one shower. Frustrating promise but non-delivery from staff. We spoke with staff at valet and reception 4 times to ensure we were charged correctly for parking. On check out, the charge was still incorrect. Selective application of policy. I watched staff offer a group of middle aged Caucasian women complimentary wine at check in. We checked in immediately after them, and were not offered the same. We are a young family and people of colour. "

"They gave me a room by the elevator and the noise was ridiculous. I call and ask to move rooms but they said they were full but would give me breakfast. I called again and was offered 50% off. When I finally said I was leaving they did not seem to care, said I would be refunded, but since it was through Expedia they could not give me any kind of receipt, I have yet to see the refund"

"Room was as described. Walls need some touch up on some spots. Space was beautiful and clean. Free parking was amazing. Location spot on, with coffee, Whole Foods, and restaurants within walking distance. Very quiet at night. "
