a very pleasant place to stay
The hotel is located by the sea and also has access to the Grand Hyatt’s swimming pool and sun loungers. The beds are comfortable and the room is spacious.

1week stay in Muscat, Oman
Good reasonable priced accommodation especially as you get to use the facilities of the Grand Hyatt, a 5 star adjacent hotel, but don't expect 5 star accommodation.There is not much to do outside the hotel as it is in the diplomatic area, but is central for excursions to Oman's attractions and excursions are easily arranged. The staff are very helpful and friendly. There is a good restaurant, Nesve Umman, across the car park at the rear of the hotel.

Lovely start to our trip
Great value accommodation close tonthe beach. Able to use hotel facilities incl pool next door which was a bonus. Basic but confortable apartments and verybfriendly staff.

Lovely place for the price
Dated furniture and a the building could use better landscaping and overall cleaning but you can’t beat the price and location. The breakfast was great and you also get access to the Hyatt pool with your key.

I had great stay at the hotel, especially the great staff ( I mean the receptionist Za'eem) that planned my stay thoroughly, and off course I have to mention that you get access to the Grand Hayat swimming pool next door!

Enjoyable stay and pleasant staff.
Nice stay at hotel and were allowed access and use of facilities at the Hyatt hotelnext door (which was gorgeous). Close to beach and some local eateries. Morning buffet breakfast was our only complaint as it was limited and not very good. Instant coffee and hot water supplied so not impressed with that either.Otherwise our rooms were fine

Large and clean, good facilities
Clean efficient and large rooms - can use the facilities of the Hyatt for less than half of the cost! Reception staff very helpful, breakfast fine. Great location - enjoy the financial savings!

Adequate for intended use.Comfortable.Little dated
Half the price of the Hyatt, and you still get to use the Hyatt facilities for free. Buffet Breakfast is ok but nothing special. Someone is on hand to cook your eggs. Rooms are big however bathrooms are quite dated and untidy, basically needs refurbishing. The kitchenette needs replacing, doors loose and again dated. You do get a fridge and hobs for cooking aswell as it is a self catering suite. If you have money eat at the Hyatt, but if your staying at the safari it probably means you don’t have the money. Hyatt is stupidly expensive. They should b ashamed about how much they charge for food and drink. You can walk to many restraunts and supermarket just 10 minutes away. Shopping centre and cinema in same area as the restaurants. Or if you don’t want to walk to far then just go to the candle cafe which is on the beech in front of the safari apartments. Food is cheap and good. They do very good fruit juice and smoothies. Always busy and have a big screen for football. WiFi is pretty poor in the apartments and even worse at the Hyatt, can’t believe such a developed country can’t get good internet service. It’s the same in most places in Muscat. All in all its adequate. Solid 6 or 7 out of 10. Basically just needs a good refurb

Good hotel, great access to Grand Hyatt
It was a good hotel. Amenities were adequate. Bathroom was a bit run down. AC worked but could have been a bit stronger. Breakfast was a disappointment. Really nice guy making the eggs but other than that think about like the breakfast at a Marriott courtyard but then take half the food away and make the rest cold. In reality though we had lunch for 3 people at the grand hyatt next door and the lunch cost more than our room for a night at safari village. We stayed here because we wanted a good location, economic hotel and access to the pool and services of the Grand Hyatt. We would stay here again. If your goal is to get out and about and do things then it is a great place. If you want to sit in a fancy room all day then this is not for you.

Check in was mid pm - I emailed in advance to say our arrival into Oman was 7am. They couldn’t promise our room would be ready but to turn up and leave our luggage. We arrived at 9am and our room was ready. Large room, beach view, clean, quiet, bathroom quite basic. Breakfast was basic but adequate - friendly helpful staff. Full use of swimming pool in hotel next door. Location suited us as we had hired a car, which we could park and leave in car park.

Apartment resort next to wide Sandy beach
The apartment was a real gem next to the Grand Hyatt Hotel. Huge Sandy beach great for walking or visiting several beach cafes. Free use of Hyatt pools with other facilities available such as gyms and spas if you book and pay. Plenty of taxis available for travelling to Old Muscat and all of the museums and sites, you will need them as this resort is by a quiet beach area next to the diplomatic area. We had a great holiday.

Disappointing.
No cutlery. No plates. No instructions for microwave, television, hotplates, extractor. No power to microwave or bedside lamp(fused?). No instructions how to access G Hyatt or action required when asked for room number for meals or beach towels.Buildings unkempt and tired. Rooms dated and old furniture.Advert was misleading in showing pool at GHyatt with very few details on how to access. Trip hazard from bathroom and main room to hallway/kitchen where different tiles had been laid on existing floor. No food shops close by(never found one) for self catering.

Could be great!
The hotel is old, but the rooms are huge and better than most rooms I’ve had. Easily double the size with a kitchenette and ample space to lounge. The fitness center is a joke. Ten cardio machines and mayb 4 work. The weight station is good except it’s crammed in a small room. The “gymnasium” is a hotel room converted and it’s not done well. The owner parks his Ferrari outside and the cardio equipment is ancient. Nestled next to the Grand Hyatt, Safari Village has the potential to be so much better, but pales in comparison, scope and price. This could be a great hotel with such a good location and potential to capture guests who want a good choice near the beach. The staff is awesome! The WiFi is great. The breakfast is very good. Compared to most hotels, I’d rate this high in every area except the fitness center.

Apart from using the Hyatt pool. Overpriced.
Rooms a very aged and have a dampness that's instant on your chest. No hot or even tepid water. THE loudest air con and fridge I've had on any vacation. Sub standard f breakfast. Grand Hyatt pool and location to the beach is the only plus. Staff were lovely people. Overpriced.

Good Hotel
Close to restaurants, banking and beach. The biggest value is the availability of using the services of the Grand Hyatt free of charge while staying at the Safari. The only thing that was not a available ids the health and beauty salon this is an extra cost but other than that it is all available.

Cheaper hotel masquerading as a more expensive one
Given the price, you'd think it would be better. It was acceptable for a night but not at its current price point. Will not be going back. Nothing was bad but one should expect more from a hotel that charges what it does for a room - it was just ok. If you're getting a taxi arranged for you by the hotel, be prepared to be overcharged and do so in cash.

A Real Treasure Location
A very warm welcome from the staff. Note this isn't 5 star but it doesn't pretend to be. These are very functional apartments in an amazing location within about 2 minutes walk of the beautiful beach and the Indian Ocean. There is also a fantastic café called Candle Café within 200 yards. The key benefit here is that you are able to use the facilities of the 5 star (expensive) Grand Hyatt Hotel, next door. This takes about 3 minutes to walk to and then you are in their palatial gardens for the fraction of the price! 2 very good bars nearby with good food and live music. This is definitely a budget place to stay they make me so welcome and are so gracious that I have no reason to look elsewhere and nowhere can compete on price and location. Thank you to all of the staff are looked after me and kept my room nice and clean. I would love a balcony and that's probably the only thing missing. Looking forward to getting back again soon.

Great location
Great room with view of the water. Hotel was clean and comfortable. Nice breakfast buffet included. All staff went out of their way to ensure my stay was wonderful. They were helpful in arranging last minute tours and activities for me and it was appreciated. The beach front and pool area were a 2unite walk away and beautiful.

Lovely and Amazing Value
Great check in. Okay it's a little tired but excellent value. Huge rooms. Lovely clean comfortable bed. All trimmings. Excellent Wi-Fi. Beach is just a few yards away. Use of Grand Hyatt pool area. Try Candle Cafe close by walking distance, lovely good. Breakfast fine. Will definitely stay here again. Thanks :)

Gute Lage
Die Lage ist wirklich sehr gut. Man kann die ganze Strandpromenade lang laufen mit vielen Cafes und kleinen Restaurants. Insbesonders die Nutzung der Poolanlgage im Hyatt ist eine tolle Sache.Das Frühstück hat uns auch gut gefallen.

Great location right next to the beach and to Hyatt Hotel, with the possibility to use the pool there (towels are included). Very spacious room with a kitchenette, fridge and aircon. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, they let us store our luggage until the evening after we checked out. Good breakfast buffet with vast choice.

Hotel je umístněn vedle luxusního komplexu, kam se chodí k bazénu. K moři je od hotelu 2 min. chůze, pokoje jsou obrovské, snídaně ucházející.

Dear Mr. Sami, we apologies & like to bring up the reason we can't give most of your needs when you stayed here @ Safari Village. when you check in 3 adult & 1 child but actually total pax inside the room are 8. you asked bed for your children which the hotel is charging. for breakfast the son of your and 3 ladies can have only which yourself and the rest didn't have. the swimming pool is less than 2 minute walk from our reception area. We asked you clearly how many all will stay but you give only 4 passport and you said only 4, but actually you're total of 8 including infants. we do apologies & we do a lot of consideration & is just happen the time you're here your not one of them. In the time of check in if you let us know the situation & let us know exactly how many total will stay, im sure we able to help & assist you. Option to be considered for a stay in Muscate
This is most certainly not a 3 stars hotel, let alone a 3.5 stars . Though bedrooms are remarkably big and beds delightfully comfortable with pretty linen ; that is all regarding comfort. There is a 90 's spirit (which as one knows has not aged as well as Artdeco or Gustavian Eras e.g). Bedrooms definitely need renovation especially the bathrooms which are tired (plumbery dysfonction can occur) and lack of air extraction. Closets smell of dampness. The kitchen ones totally stink. Bedrooms are always kept VERY CLEAN though. Breakfast is correct, but the room has not been fully renovated, one wall still looks tired and there is a major problem of air extraction. For some reason that still puzzles me, you are given a contiguous bedroom which therefore offers no perfect privacy. And when you ask for a totally private bedroom, their answer is that all the bedrooms are contiguous... Location is terrific, just by the sea, and it is a major bonus to benefit from the Grand Hyatt located next door facilities (the restaurant Tuscany is not exactly on the cheap side but is rather good). Fine wifi too. Last but not least, employees from the cleaning gentlemen, the receptionnists to the very nice watchman are cheerful and eager to please. To me, this is slightly overpriced for a place in quite poor state but for Oman standard prices (hunting is forbidden, bravissimo but considering the tourist as a pigeon is a must), I aknowledge it can be regarded as a rather good deal.

Camera ampia ma puzzolente,colazione misera
Camera ampia ma bagno vecchio e puzzolente,colazione misera servita solo in camera, non sempre ci è stato portato quel poco che si poteva ordinare.....non ci hanno mai dato kit da bagno solo il primo giorno . Ci hanno sempre cambiato asciugamani ma a volte trovati non lavati con evidenti macchie o odori sgradevoli...il bar ristorante risulta chiuso da mesi,ci hanno concesso uso della piscina fortunatamente al GrandYatt Ma li i costi sono purtroppo proibitivi.... Angolo cottura senza accessori,non una pentola,non un piatto ne posate.....frigo piccolo e con chiusura a chiave rotta Essendo a piano terra vista su un Muro.... Comodo il parcheggio nel cortile Televisione Non funzionante

Excelente hotel, muy cómodo y bien ubicado. La pileta suma mucho para relajarse después de un día largo y para soportar mejor el calor.
