"Dissapointing, unpleasant smell and a dated interior. Good location, but very dated, raw brick interior with an unpleasant smell inside the rooms. Online pictures of the property didn't match the reality. Interior of the rooms and bathroom had a dusty/mouldy smell, not I think from any lack of cleaning but more from the old fit out and build up of dust and damp in the exposed brick mortar and old grout joints between tiling. "Amazing last-minute staycation at The Mayfair! The building itself has such an old-world charm which gives a cozy feel the minute you enter from the hustle and bustle of Hindley Street. Hennessey rooftop bar was a great way to start the afternoon before our function with a few beers plus cheese and meats platter. It's close proximity to The Convention Centre where our function was made it an easy walk. The room itself was so clean with a beautiful bathroom and the softest, comfiest bed! The breakfast at Mayflower was worth the add on. Overall, would happily stay again and recommend."
