A minor problem about the bathroom was that the blind could not be wound down, as the mechanism was broken, and although the window was opaque glass, with the light on we felt a little exposed. "We returned to Akomo after a stay the week before. It's very well located for train travelers and a direct and close walk to shops and restaurants and trams. We had left an item behind and it was waiting for us when we returned. The room is basic and it's self-entry but this is reflected in the reasonable price. Ask the owner for a Bern Welcome Card for free local transport. S/he was very responsive to all contacts."

"Good hotel if you're just looking for a place to sleep, since you’ll probably be out exploring most of the time. It’s not a 5-star property, but it does the job for a night or two. Staff were friendly and the location is spot on — about a 10–15 minute walk to the lake and the center of Thun. Parking is available right next to the hotel and it’s affordable, but make sure to have some Swiss Franc coins on you."
