Just perfect
I don't think there are enough words to describe our experience at Arctic Skylight Lodge! The glass cabin was just perfect with an amazing view and all the facilities we needed. Bed was comfortable, shower was nice, room was cosy and warm. Breakfast was ample and staff was very friendly and helpful! Would highly recommend this place!

Staff was excellent and helpful. We were in a fix trying to get to the hotel but Milla came to the rescue and we eventually got out of the fix and was able to enjoy our stay in the hotel. The restaurant within the hotel serves splendid 3 course dinner that is a must try. Does not pale in comparison to Michelin star restaurants. They are too underrated.

Absolutely exceptional. The property, staff and location were perfect. Dinner at their restaurant was phenomenal. I can’t say enough great things about our stay here. Wish we had stayed longer. If you are in this area of Finland, I would highly suggest staying at Arctic Skylight Lodge.

Arctic Skylight Lodge
Absolutely amazing stay and can’t fault anything about it. The staff are lovely and so willing to help with anything, the food was exceptional and a real treat each evening and the accommodation was very comfortable. Saw the northern lights on two of three nights and they were stunning with the lack of light pollution around. Sauna and hot tub were a great experience and so was the very chilly dip in the river. Have recommended to all of my friends and will be back!

Glass house… dreamy views.
You have to sled your suitcases to your room, but the rooms are amazing. Clean, comfy, warm, and the glass surrounding you is unreal. We didn’t see the northern lights, but we were granted fantastic views of the Milky Way.

Amazing place! The room was great. The sauna absolutely amazing and breakfast was the best! Service big thumbs up. If I had to mention one thing I would say to get curtains or something on the cabin door cause you can see in every cabin through it and most people kept the bathroom door open to obscure the view.

Nice glass cabin in the woods
Fancy and cozy new glass cabins in the woods. The stay was altogether nice and the staff was really friendly. They made you feel like you are cared. Breakfast was also super good. The only thing which needs a little improvement was the courtyard of the hotel which was clearly still under construction, but soon it will be an excellent place.

Die Glaskästen sind nett aber verlebt und werden nicht gut gereinigt, die Fenster hatten von ihnen Hand etc Abdrücke, das Waschbecken hatte braune Ränder und das Wasser floss nicht ab. Der Zugang zu den „Zimmern“ ist sehr rutschig, es wird nicht gestreut und der Weg ist nicht beleuchtet, dieser Zustand ist fahrlässig, da jeder von uns mehrere Male hingefallen ist. Das Restaurant ist in Ordnung aber im Ort kriegt man besseres Preis / Leistungsverhältnis. Wir waren vier Nächte da (als einzige). Für eins zwei Nächte ist die Unterkunft ganz nett aber nicht mehr und genau so lieblos wird sie betrieben. Das Frühstück war ganz gut und das Personal freundlich.

Es tut mir leid, dass Sie hier nicht die beste Erfahrungen gemacht haben. Wir geben unser Bestes, aber manchmal machen uns menschliche Fehler zu schaffen. Hoffentlich machen wir besser nächtes Mal.Unsere Restaurants servieren Speisen, die ausschließlich aus den besten nordischen Zutaten zubereitet werden und andere Gäste haben diese genossen. Aber natürlich wenn unsere Restaurant ist nicht für jemand empfehlen wir auch andere in die Nähe, weil es gibt so viele gute Restaurangen hier.

Der Ausblick beim schlafen ist toll, die Kabine ist allerdings eher klein, also für den kurzen Aufenthalt, das Abendessen ist sehr überteuert..

Magical night in the glass house
Beautiful stay at Arctic Skylight Lodge. I was traveling by myself from the Kolari railway station and took the Ski Bus to Akaslompolo center where I had a great lunch and then took a taxi to the Lodge (about 25 euros). I spent the day walking in the woods (there's a trail down to the lake / river) and sledding and obviously taking a ton of photos. The 3 course dinner at the Lodge was absolutely delicious. Slept like a baby, was woken up by Aurora Alert at 1am and saw them from my bed and woke up to a lovely sunny day and a great breakfast. I would have maybe liked some more Lappish / Finnish influences in the breakfast though, maybe some leipajuusto with cloudberry jam, rye bread etc. All in all an excellent stay! Will definitely return.

Luksusta ja vastinetta rahalle!
Majoitus oli aivan upea. Huoneessa tuoksui puhtaalle ja se oli todella siisti, mikä toi ylellisyyttä. Näkymät olivat huikeat, ja voin vain kuvitella, kuinka kaunista talvella olisikaan näissä maisemissa. Aamupala tarjoiltiin pöytiin, mikä sai aamun tuntumaan mukavan rauhalliselta. Henkilökunta kruunasi yöpymisen, sillä he olivat todella mukavia. Vaikea keksiä tästä majoituksesta huonoa sanottavaa, koska olimme erittäin tyytyväisiä yöhömme! Jos jotain, niin olisin kaivannut jääkaappia sekä kokovartalopeiliä huoneen varusteluihin, mutta ilman näitäkin pärjäsi oikein mainiosti. Tämä majoitus on luksusta kotimaassa. Todella vahva suositus!

Upeat näkymät arktiseen luontoon
Majoitus on iglutyyppisissä mökeissä, joista on hieno näkymä ympäröivään luontoon. Näkymää häiritsivät hieman rakennusaikaiset jäljet, mutta kohde on niin uusi, että se on ymmärrettävää. Käyntini ajoittui varsin hiljaiseen aikaan kesäsesongin ja ruska-ajan väliin, joten yhden yön olin koko paikassa yksin. Palvelu aamupalalla olikin sitten suorastaan ruhtinaallista. Ainoa asia, jota jäin hieman kaipaamaan, oli jääkaappi. Sellainen olisi mökkeihin kiva lisävaruste. Kaiken kaikkiaan loistava paikka. Antoi työmatkalle aivan uudenlaisen sävyn.

Yövyimme hotellissa 3 yötä. Uusi, upea, viihtyisä hotelli kaikinpuolin ja kokemuksena ainutlaatuinen. Alue vielä keskeneräinen, joka ei kuitenkaan oloa haitannut juurikaan. Huone siisti ja rauhallinen, luonto ympärillä. Saunan, porealtaan kävimme rannalla vilkaisemassa, todella hieno myös! Aamiainen pöytääntarjoiltuna maistui erittäin hyvin. Asiakaspalvelu todella ystävällistä. Suosittelen, et tule pettymään. Varmasti yksi alueen parhaimmista hotelleista.

Hyvä palvelu ja hieno majoituspaikka
Mökki todella hieno ja ruoka todella mahtavaa sekä hinta/laatusuhde erinomainen. Palvelu äärimmäisen ystävällistä. Ympäristö ja näkymät juuri sellaiset, mitä voi odottaa kolmella kolmella lasiseinällä sekä lasikatolla varustetussa mökissä. Piha-alue on vielä keskeneräinen, mutta sekään ei haitannut. Jos haluaa haittapuolia miettiiä, mökki saattaa olla hiukan pienikokoinen (ei haittaa muutaman yön yöpymisessä) ja oven lasista (voisi olla vaikka maitolasia) näkyy sisään.

Loistava majoituskokemus, joka oli alusta loppuun henkilökohtaisen tuntuinen. Täällä asiat oli tehty valmiiksi asiakkaan puolesta. Aamiainen tarjoiltiin pöytään asiakkaan toiveet kuunnellen. Tänne tulisin uudelleen sekä loma- että työreissulla.

Erikoinen, mutta hieno yöpymispaikka . Alue on vielä keskeneräinen,mutta toimii kyllä. Nyt ihasteltiin keskikesän valoisuutta, revontuliaikaan näkymät ovat varmasti upeat. Saunasta on loistavat näköalat järvelle ja tuntureille . Kaikki tilat ovat kauniit saunassa ja muuallakin. Ravintolassa päivällinen on fine dining- luokkaa, eikä aamiaisessakaan ole sijaa valittamiselle.

Miellyttävä yllätys
Keskeneräinen piha-alue ja kulkutiet ensin pelottivat, mutta palvelu oli huippuluokkaa ja ennen kaikkea ystävällistä. Huone oli unelmien täyttymys ja illallinen todella herkullinen. Harvoin aamiaista tarjoilee ranskalainen kokki suoraan pöytään ja myös aamiainen oli oli herkullista. Ja kaiken huipuksi tämä kaikki varsin kohtuulliseen hintaan. Suosittelen lämpimästi.
