Hidden Gem

This is a hidden gem. Beautiful home in the countryside. Located in a very peaceful area. Bedroom was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was amazing. The hosts could not be more helpful. I would recommend it to everyone who needs a place to stay in the Carlow/Wexford area. Great value. I will definitely stay here again .

Nice for the price.

Room and bathroom was very small, needs updated. Owners were very nice and helpful. Breakfast was very good. We sat outside and watched the cattle while having tea.

The original and genuine bed and breakfast! Great view, nice hosts, good breakfast. We arrived past 9 pm and the host was so kind to call the nearest place to go eat and ask them to wait for us.

I loved this property because it was in a quiet area, surrounded by nature and very good people. It was beautiful all around us and we had a leisurely breakfast every morning in a sunroom with the sunshine!

Reades Farm House Delight!

One of our very best stays. Margaret, the hostess, was outstanding. She was very accommodating, friendly and the place is set in such a lovely site. Her food is so good and filling. We loved sitting in the open and aired breakfast room. We hope to return one day.

Comfortable night, great breakfast, good host.

You’ll need a gps or good map to find this one. We arrived about 6 pm and were pleasantly greeted by Margaret who offered a cup of tea, which we declined in the interest of getting dinner before dark, which brings up the only significant drawback to the B&B: you’ll have to drive someplace for dinner, about two miles. Our room (#3) was small, nicely decorated with a small bay window looking out at the countryside, and packed with both a comfortable twin and double bed, a large mirrored closet-cabinet, a really low chair, a small table, a TINY flatscreen TV, and several tiny, non-biting, flies. (Turns out a window was open.) The bathroom, also small, had a faint but distinct sewage-odor, which vanished by morning, from behind the toilet. The bathroom had a noisy but serviceable shower, no hooks, no shelf, and no shower soap. Very nice breakfast, both the setting, and the food/service. Wi fi painfully slow. Good heater.

Lovely B & B near Waterford. We were a group of 7 family members traveling together and Margaret made us all feel very welcome. We were nearing the end of our trip and she correctly guessed that most of us had had our fill of the "full Irish breakfast" so provided a lovely assortment of numerous other items.

Proche nature

L'hôtel est proche de la nature l'hôtesse à bien discuté avec nous malgré nos difficultés en anglais .Le seul bémol à été une personne dans la chambre en face qui a parlé jusqu'à tard la nuit ce qui nous a empêché de dormir.Petit déjeuner au top.

Margaret's the Best

We stayed here one night and were greeted with such warmth and friendliness. Margaret showed us around and gave us an option of room choice. We're in Ireland during a warm spell so a bit warm in the rooms but she gave us a fan, and that definitely helped. A made to order breakfast with suggestion about town. Perfectly Lovely....

Excellent host!

Host provided a fire in the open area while we we surfing to determine next day activities - both nights we were there.... Talk about hospitality!! Breakfast was made to order and fantastic. Definitely worth a stay if you are in the area.

Lovely countryside B&B

A lovely B & B in a countryside ( outside of Kilkenny and close to Jerpoint Abbey and Park). Margaret (the owner) was very hospitable and so accommodating. She fed my teenagers with all Irish goodies (scones, cake and tea) while my husband and I walked to the pub (right around the corner of the B&B) for some Irish beers. Breakfast was delicious. Room was good enough for the family of 4 although we only stayed for 1 night. Bed was comfortable and room was clean. Overall we really liked it. A plus was their 2 lovely dogs that my kids adored.

True Irish Hospitality

If you are looking for a wonderful, beautiful place to stay in the heart of Ireland, this is the place for you. This isn’t really a hotel or even an inn. This is like going home every night, to smiling faces who offer you tea and biscuits and ask about your day. Margaret and Michael are kind, generous people who make you feel like a part of their family instead of customers. I will be coming back on every trip to Ireland from now on.

Family pub

We visited at the end of the season so we were the only guests. It was very quiet except for a bit of road noise in the evening. The breakfast was really good and their is a family owned pub just a short walk down the road that was fun.

Warm and comfortable B&B.
