"The highlights of our stay here were the incredibly friendly staff and the generous food options. The service was akin to 5 star hotels - attentive, thoughtful and friendly. The food was plentiful and it was nice to have choices for dinner and breakfast. The room was suitable for our needs for a few nights and very clean and tidy. "

"I cannot express how amazing this place was. I've been all over the world, and every aspect of the AM Lodge is by far the most superior. The unique daily game drives had our Bush Bar (best bar in South Africa, thanks to Benjamin and Penwey) interrupted by a Nyala being chased by a wild dog. "What an incredible place! The staff treat you like family and nothing is too much trouble. Excellent food and service set in a beautifully curated hotel on the river bank. We were spoiled every day with Elephant, Hippos, bush buck, warthog and nyala eating and drinking directly in front of the hotel. Sipping a cocktail and watching these beautiful creatures was a daily highlight! "

"This was our 5th visit to Elephant Plains. It's the most affordable option in the Sabi Sands and an excellent place to stay. Since our 2022 visit, they have updated the rondovels. They're super comfortable with everything you need. Staff were great. They seem to have simplified the food options (an improvement) and the quality is great.
