"The owner, Margie, gave us a complete history of the inn upon our arrival. The inn is filled top to bottom with antiques, artwork and statuary. Loaded with artwork by the Florida Highwaymen and many works of art featuring Margie’s beloved Irish Wolfhounds, three of which live on site, but were kept in a different part of the inn. Check in/out was easy. Location is nearby the main downtown shopping area."

Universal's Endless Summer Resort - Surfside Inn and Suites

4/10 Poor

"You have to pay for parking 27 dollars per day and you are forced to walk by the most horrendous sewage smell to get from the parking garage to the hotel and depending on where your room is it could be a very long walk the hotel is very poorly designed the rooms are tiny and definitely not worth the cost"

Universal's Endless Summer Resort - Dockside Inn and Suites

"Our family really enjoyed staying at Endless summer Dockside inn. The location was great for visiting Universal and other attractions. The employees were very helpful and friendly and housekeeping did a wonderful job cleaning our room every day. We loved the shuttle bus that went to the parks and City Walk. We loved the value of the resort and even though the food was a little pricey there was always a good selection of foods at anytime throughout the day."

Wyndham I-Drive Avanti Resort & Conference Center

"When I booked Avanti, I was under the impression that it was a traditional hotel and did not realize that the property was set up more like a motel, with room doors leading directly to the outside. Personally, I dislike this type of setup, and had I known beforehand, I likely would have chosen a different property. The name and booking information did not make this clear to me, although it may have simply been an oversight on my part. The check-in process was satisfactory. The lobby looked just as it did in the photos online and had a pleasant, welcoming scent. Although the line was quite long due to the Memorial Day weekend rush, it moved at a reasonable pace. The room itself was clean, but the shower area felt quite small and cramped. Additionally, both the room phone and the iron were not functioning, which was inconvenient during my stay. One of the biggest positives of the hotel was its location. It was ideally situated near a variety of restaurants, shops, and popular attractions, including ICON Park, WonderWorks Orlando, The Orlando Eye, Pointe Orlando, and SEA LIFE Orlando Aquarium. The property could benefit from some updates and general improvements. My daughter and I did enjoy the pool area; however, I would suggest adding more umbrellas or covered areas, as there was limited shade and the sun was quite intense. Overall, the stay was okay. While there were some positives, there were also a few inconveniences that impacted the overall experience."

Universal's Cabana Bay Beach Resort

"I’ve stayed here before and will continue to when I visit Florida. Some recommendations I have are the pillows definitely could use an upgrade definitely feel like they were a little worn out and deflated. I feel like you shouldn’t charge someone to float down the lazy river this should be included in the cost of staying maybe put a hold on a card if you want the floaties back and if you don’t get them then charge the guest but if it’s returned then the guest shouldn’t be charged. Love the transportation to universal and it’s a short walk as well. The $300 dining credit was a huge incentive. Only main issue I had was when I called for towels I had to call again and almost wait 2 hours to get them that was really only the main issue I had this time around. Hopefully you all read this review and it wasn’t a waste of my time as my next trip down we will most likely be staying here again and hope to see some of my suggestions implemented."
